"I want to do more shows for Masaba."

Indian fashion mogul, Masaba Gupta, put on one of the most exciting shows at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015, with newlyweds Shahid and Mira Kapoor modelling for the designer.

Building up to the star studded appearance, Masaba presented her collection, titled ‘On Your Mark’, which comprised of playful, experiential prints.

The abstractness brought the designs to life, and created a unique aesthetic for the entire week.

An array of asymmetric shirts, deconstructed coats, one shouldered tops, teamed with cropped pants filled the runway.Shahid and Mira Kapoor dazzle at Lakmé

Working around a red colour palette, Masaba maximised on mustards, whites, and blacks to complement the entire compilation.

After having the most talked about wedding attire designed by Masaba, it was time for newlyweds, Shahid and Mira Kapoor to repay the favour.

The two were very much still in the honeymoon period of their relationship, walking hand in hand down the platform for their friend.

Wearing a dapper black suit with an open buttoned shirt and waistcoat, Shahid set the tone for their gorgeous show stopping appearance.

Of course, Mira looked equally as stunning in an avant garde outfit by the designer.Shahid and Mira Kapoor dazzle at Lakmé

Sooraj Pancholi then followed suit, walking the ramp in kurta styled jacket, paired with tailored trousers.

Speaking of his appearance, Sooraj commented:

“I feel good. I thought I will be a little nervous as I’m a newcomer, but I want to do more shows for Masaba.

“I like what I wear. We keep talking and want her to do something for men as well.”

Masaba is undoubtedly one of the most innovative designers to showcase at Lakmé, and her collection definitely impressed the crowds.

With so many showbiz pals helping her present her stunning designs, this could arguably be one of the best fashion showcases we’ve seen at Lakmé Winter/Festive 2015.
