Kareena Kapoor stuns at Lakmé with Gaurav Gupta

Kareena Kapoor Khan looked sensational as she modelled for Gaurav Gupta’s finale show at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015. DESIblitz has more.

Bollywood beauty, Kareena Kapoor Khan, brought the curtain down on the final day of Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015, modelling for Indian designer, Gaurav Gupta.

Showcasing an entirely fantastical collection, his designs were inspired by Lakmé’s ‘Sculpt’ beauty statement.

His designs were dedicated to womenswear, comprising of a white, black and red colour palette.

Each avatar was stunningly chic and stylish. The simplicity of each design made the collection even more show stopping.

His set matched the forward-thinking fashion of his collection, with a magnificent female sculpture taking centre stage against a white backdrop.

Comprising entirely of dresses and jumpsuits, the collection was aesthetically loud and vibrant, paying homage to the brilliancy of craftsmanship and structured silhouettes.

Kareena’s attire was the ultimate winner. Draped in a gorgeous sheer black gown, the dress hugged the star’s curves, forming an enviously voluptuous figure.

The actress complimented the fashion mogul’s work ethic, stating: “I admire the novelty and quirk that new designers like Gaurav bring to the table.

“I think the fashion industry needs such creative minds.”

She continued: “I think [Gaurav] is meant for the bigger playground – which is Paris, Milan and Rome.”

Speaking of his finale, Gaurav commented:

“I loved creating this collection. It is a complete extension of who I am and my vision was beautifully brought to life by the stunning Kareena Kapoor Khan.”

A burst of confetti signalled the end of the show, and brought the audience to a standing ovation to celebrate the magnificence of Gaurav’s work.

Whilst this was the designers very first curtail fall, it certainly won’t be his last.

Gaurav Gupta put on a stunning display of fantastically structured designs, and earned his place as the grand finale for Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015.
