“A lot of them would be extremely aggressive with me"
A Canadian sex worker shared why she used to avoid seeing clients from India and Pakistan.
In a TikTok video, Larissa Pelissero claimed she had numerous negative experiences with such clients.
On when she first started, Larissa said:
“I just wanted as many clients as possible so I would just like not require any screening.”
Many of her clients at the time were from India and Pakistan, and she revealed she noticed a pattern in how they treated her, putting it down to a societal issue.
“One thing is for sure, and you can’t really argue with me on this, India and Pakistan have very strong rape cultures.”
Describing her experiences, she said:
“Some of the issues that I encountered were, for example, showing up with less money than they were supposed to on purpose to try and bargain with me about the prices.
“A lot of them would be extremely aggressive with me, extremely disrespectful.”
Larissa also alleged that some clients had poor hygiene and refused to shower before appointments.
However, she said one incident pushed her to stop seeing men from those countries altogether.
According to Larissa, a client allegedly attempted to pressure her into sex without a condom.
“I saw a client from one of those countries and he tried to force me to do the do without a condom on and that was extremely traumatising.”
She reported the incident to the police, however, they allegedly told her they could not take action.
Following the incident, Larissa decided she would no longer see clients from India or Pakistan because she feared for her safety.
She explained: “I’m not gonna play Russian roulette with my safety just to be politically correct.
“This has nothing to do with race.
“If you’re gonna put some like racist b******t in my comments or say that I’m a racist, like just don’t honestly, I know my intentions and I know it’s not about race.”

Larissa also reflected on how her business has changed since then.
She explained that she now charges higher rates, requires screening procedures and takes deposits before meeting clients, suggesting the measures may create safer working conditions and filter out problematic behaviour.
Larissa said:
“Maybe because I do require screening and a deposit and my prices are higher, maybe they will treat me differently.”
She revealed she is now considering seeing clients from India and Pakistan again, although she admitted she remains fearful because of her previous experiences.
The sex worker added: “I do hope that things will be different now that I have better screening measures, but I guess we’ll see.”
The video has sparked wider discussions online surrounding misogyny, consent and the dangers sex workers can face.
