Samaa TV has also had to downsize to be able to survive the crisis.
The popular morning TV show Subh Saverey Samaa Kay Saath has been cancelled, according to reports circulating on social media.
It was heard that according to an editor of news publications Jang and Geo, Samaa TV has decided to fire the entire team including host Sanam Baloch.
The popular morning show is set to air its final episode on February 28, 2019.
Though it has not been officially confirmed, the tweet which broke the news quickly circulated.
It is said that the reason for Sanam and her team’s alleged firing is down to Pakistan’s overall economy which has declined.

Not only are Sanam and her team being let go, but a total of 120 other employees have also been fired from the TV channel due to financial losses.
The Pakistani economy is in a crisis and everyone has been feeling the effects lately. The media industry, which has been thriving, has had to make sacrifices.
The total budget of Subh Saverey Samaa Kay Saath was approximately Rs. 30 Lakh.
Samaa TV has also had to downsize to be able to survive the crisis and to do that, they have supposedly fired Sanam and her team.
It has been reported that Sanam was returning to host the morning show on ARY News, the same position she quit in 2018.
Subh Saverey Samaa Kay Saath is a popular daytime TV show which discusses current affairs and lifestyle. Many people watched the show but some content was not enjoyed by some viewers.
Sanam had also come under fire when she had invited Amir Liaquat and his second wife to increase her show’s ratings.
Viewers labelled her as insensitive for her comments regarding Amir’s first wife and her family. It infuriated the public who were unforgiving towards Sanam as they believed she was defending Amir and his actions.
Some even took to social media and called for a complete boycott of the show.
While there has not been any official statement by the TV channel, the economy and reports of the channel having to “downsize” does not bode well for the show.
Sanam has not responded to the news of her alleged firing. Only time will tell if the reports were true and if February 28, 2019, will air the final episode of Subh Saverey Samaa Kay Saath.
