Following the trailer release of HNY – which Monika can only describe as a jaw-dropping rollercoaster ride of music, dance and Bollywood star after star – many in B-Town were left mesmerised!
Cue from Sallu bhai who saw the trailer and immediately tweeted out: “Jst saw happy new year ka promo, its Kick ass.” Easy bhai! Monika thinks Salman might be secretly worried by his arch-rival here!
Will HNY beat Kick at the Box-Office? We shall have to wait and see. For now, Monika thinks, it just looks too good.
Abhishek Bachchan Copies Ali G!
Talking about Happy New Year, Monika recently heard that Abhishek Bachchan who will not only play a double role in the film but also one of his looks is inspired from our very own British munda Ali G.
Yes the same Ali G, the satirical character shaped and performed by the British humourist Sacha Baron Cohen.
Monika thinks, Abhishek playing a character called ‘Nandu Bhide’ in HNY strongly resembles Ali G! The look, the sunglasses, that modish cap, the clothes!

Robin Williams or Robbie Williams?
Social Media had an epic fail when the death of the great actor and comedian Robin Williams came out and Tweeters without reading the whole news, hit their laptops and phones with RIP tweets.
The problem was that many were expressing their commiserations thinking it was the singer Robbie Williams who died.
This included the Real Madrid defender, Sergio Ramos who tweeted: “Dismayed at the death of Robbie Williams. I always liked his songs.”
Thanks to the misunderstandings and blunders along with #RIPRobinWilliams, #RobbieWilliams too picked up the trend like never before. #Monika’s heart goes out to both.
Khoobsurat Makers Promote Sexy Fawad Khan
Now we all know that Sonam Kapoor’s upcoming film Khoobsurat which is a remake of Rekha’s 80s film is going to be all about Sonam!
Monika thus wonders why the Disney makers are going out of their way to promote the Pakistani actor Fawad Khan more than his co-star Sonam Kapoor.
#FawadFever was first introduced on Twitter and then several video clips of Fawad playing the hot, charming Prince in the film were released too.
No doubt this movie is the debut of Pakistan’s superstar Fawad in India, and his sexy and polished persona can be cashed in on but Monika wonders why the makers are avoiding Sonam in the promotions. Daal mein kuch kala hai!
Nargis Fakhri’s Wardrobe Malfunction
There are many actresses who have faced wardrobe malfunction on the ramp, but nobody has ever dealt with it as Nargis has.
At India Bridal Week, Nargis was wearing a black thigh-high cut-out gown by the designer Nikhil Thampi.
As the actress walked on the ramp, her gown tore away from the centre and the slit of her dress was high enough to reveal almost her private parts. Apparently somebody stepped on her dress but Nargis instead of freaking out, she started laughing uncontrollably.
She then swiftly hid the slit and continued her walk with head held high. Monika is certainly impressed with this young star!
Upen Patel in Bigg Boss 8?
Bigg Boss fever has started to rise already. A lot of speculations are on as to who will be the housemates this year.
One little birdie tells Monika that our very own Brit Indian Upen Patel is going to be one of the celebrities to enter the Bigg Boss house this year.
The highly scandalous reality show will certainly re-launch the actor who once acted in films like 36 China Town and Namastey London before disappearing from the limelight!
This Brit-Asian hunk has always been in news for his affairs and his sizzling physique. Monika is eagerly waiting to see how he makes the Brits proud.
