Rumours are circulating that Salman Khan will be filming his Safar cameo for two days.

After the box office success of Gadar 2, Sunny Deol has been busy filming Safar in Mumbai.

It is reported that filming is nearly complete and there are only a few days of shooting left.

Salman has a cameo in the film and a source has claimed that the star will film it for two days in Mumbai.

The source told IndiaToday: “Salman Khan will be shooting for his cameo in Safar on January 12 and 13.

“It is a two-day shoot, scheduled at Mehboob. Salman has already committed to it and will be seen playing himself in the movie.”

Salman Khan is very close with the Deol family and the source claimed his cameo in Safar is a gesture to honour their friendship.

Reports of Salman’s cameo came to light in December 2023 where a source said:

Safar is a very heart-warming tale that celebrates the undying human spirit.

“The core plot of the film chronicles the journey of Sunny Deol and a child artist, undergoing troubles in their respective lives.

“When Sunny picked up the call on Salman with the request of a cameo, it was an instant yes from the latter.”

Safar will also star Simran Rishi Bagga in the female lead.

Known for her compelling performances, her involvement in the film hints at the emotional depth and resonance expected from the characters portrayed in this poignant tale.

Sunny’s collaboration with Simran has generated anticipation among fans who are eager to see their onscreen chemistry.

Directed by Shashank Udapurkar, Safar draws inspiration from the acclaimed Marathi film Pravas.

Safar will be produced by Vishal Rana under his company Enchelon Productions. It is set to release sometime in 2024.

Afterwards, Sunny Deol is expected to begin filming Lahore, 1947.

The film will be produced by Aamir Khan and in October 2023, the Dangal star issued a statement via Aamir Khan Productions.

He said: “I, and the entire team at AKP, are most excited and happy to announce our next, starring Sunny Deol, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, titled Lahore, 1947.

“We look forward to collaborating with the immensely talented Sunny, and one of my favourite directors Raj Santoshi.

‘The journey we have embarked on promises to be most enriching.

“We seek your blessings.”

Sunny Deol is also looking to start his Border sequel by the end of 2024.
