Bollywood star Salman Khan has been summoned by a court in connection with a cheating case involving a Being Human jewellery showroom.

His sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri and the directors of Style and Content Jewellery Private Limited have also been issued summons.

All the accused have been asked by the court to present themselves and respond to the charges on October 5, 2026.

The case has been filed by Arun Gupta, a businessman from Chandigarh, who alleges he was duped into setting up a Being Human jewellery showroom.

According to a report, Gupta claims he was given false promises about the business before investing a substantial sum of money.

He alleges that he invested a total of Rs 3 crore in the venture after signing an agreement with Style and Content Jewellery Private Limited.

The company held the license for selling the Being Human brand of jewellery at the time Gupta agreed with them.

According to the complainant, nearly Rs 1 crore was spent specifically on the setup of the showroom in Manimajra, Chandigarh.

He claims that he duly fulfilled all the conditions outlined in the agreement between himself and the company without any lapses.

However, he alleges that the company failed to honour its promises of providing the necessary business support following the setup.

One of the central issues raised in the complaint concerns the closure of the store responsible for supplying Being Human jewellery from February 2020 onwards.

Gupta alleges that this closure led to a severe and irregular supply of jewellery.

This caused him significant and ongoing financial losses for his business.

He has also accused six individuals connected to the company of misrepresenting the nature of the business deal.

Among the specific promises allegedly made to him was that Salman Khan himself would personally inaugurate the Being Human jewellery showroom.

However, the inauguration ceremony was ultimately conducted by Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma.

The company has previously denied all accusations made against it and has maintained a firm defence against the claims.

In its response, the company stated that Salman Khan did not have any direct role in the deal made with the Chandigarh businessman in 2018.

The company stated that the Salman Khan Foundation had licensed the Being Human brand name to Style and Content Jewellery Private Limited back in 2015.

It maintained that the responsibility of managing and selling the jewellery business rested solely with the company and not with the actor.

Despite this defence, the court has proceeded to issue summons to Salman Khan and the other named accused in the case.

Salman Khan, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and the other accused will be required to give their formal replies to the charges on October 5, 2026.
