Sushant refers to them as "herbal sticks".
A video online appears to expose Rhea Chakraborty. The actress has insisted that she has never taken drugs but the footage appears to show her smoking, possibly marijuana.
This presents another twist in the ongoing Sushant Singh Rajput case.
Rhea was arrested on September 8, 2020, over drugs charges linked to the Sushant case. During questioning and in previous interviews, she stated that she had never taken drugs.
However, she later claimed that her boyfriend Sushant took drugs. Rhea even claimed that Sushant forced her to take drugs.
But video footage appears to contradict her statements.
Zee News has released footage of Rhea with Sushant and a few others. Sushant is seen passing what is possibly marijuana to Rhea.
Despite her claims that her boyfriend forced her to take drugs, Rhea willingly accepts it and starts smoking.
It is not confirmed if it is marijuana or a cigarette but in the video, Sushant refers to them as “herbal sticks”, before the rest of the group start laughing.
Psychologist Jayanthi Dutta examined the footage and said that the way Rhea is smoking indicates that she is a “habitual smoker”, meaning that she only does it socially.

The footage comes after Rhea’s bail plea was rejected by a Mumbai court.
The pleas of her brother Showik Chakraborty, Abdul Basit, Zaid Vilatra, Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda, who were also arrested for their alleged involvement in the case, have also been rejected.
Rhea Chakraborty will remain in Byculla Jail until September 22, 2020. Her lawyer will now approach the Bombay High Court for bail.
In her bail request, Rhea had retracted her statement and said she was “coerced into making self-incriminatory confessions”.
She said she had “not committed any crime whatsoever and had been falsely implicated in the case”.
Rhea also alleged that she has received multiple rape and death threats. Due to multiple investigations, it has taken “a severe toll on her mental health and well-being”.
However, the NCB argued that if Rhea is released on bail, she “may tamper with the evidence and also try to win over witnesses using her position in the society and money power”.
The NCB said Rhea was aware of the drugs used by Sushant. She had “made herself part of this offence by procuring drugs” for him.
Prosecutor Atul Sarpande also stated that Rhea and her brother financed and arranged drugs.
The actress allegedly used her credit card and payment gateways to facilitate financial transactions related to dealing of “illicit drug trafficking”.
The NCB also said her statement was “voluntary”, not coerced.
The anti-drugs agency said the drugs financed by Rhea were not meant for personal consumption but for supplying them to another person.
“Therefore, Section 27A of NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act) is applicable and she cannot escape the clutches of law.”
Sushant was tragically found dead at his home on June 14, 2020.
Various angles surrounding his death are being investigated by different agencies, including the CBI.
