"Rhea Chakraborty is ready for arrest"
The lawyer of Rhea Chakraborty has stated that the actress is “ready for arrest”.
This comes after the actress turned up at the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in Mumbai in relation to the drugs investigation linked to the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
Rhea was summoned on September 6, 2020, two days after her brother Showik was arrested.
NCB officials visited her house and she was subsequently escorted to the office.
Rhea was seen wearing a mask and pink kurta trying to enter the NCB office whilst being mobbed by huge crowds of reporters.
Satish Maneshinde, her lawyer, said: “Rhea Chakraborty is ready for arrest, it’s a witch hunt.
“If loving someone is a crime, she’ll face consequences.
“Being innocent, she hasn’t approached any court for anticipatory bail in all cases foisted by (the) Bihar Police with (the) CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation), ED (Enforcement Directorate) and (the) NCB.”

The NCB previously said Showik “will be confronted with sister” Rhea after the probe agency was remanded in custody until September 9, 2020.
Showik has “given so many names with whom he was dealing in drugs”.
The NCB said: “There are specific roles/ingredients of criminal conspiracy, abetments and various attempts to commit offences.
“The financial trail of all previous transactions of drug purchase has to be verified.”
Rhea, her family and others are being investigated over allegations that she was involved in her boyfriend’s death.
A drugs angle was investigated after WhatsApp messages revealed an alleged conversation about procuring drugs between her and someone named ‘Miranda Sushi’ believed to be Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda.
A total of eight people have been arrested by the NCB with six being directly linked to this probe while two were arrested by it when the probe was launched under criminal sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Rhea Chakraborty’s father, Indrajit Chakraborty, condemned the arrest of his son:
“Congratulations India, you have arrested my son, I’m sure next on the line is my daughter and I don’t know who is next thereafter.”
“You have effectively demolished a middle-class family. But of course, for the sake of justice everything is justified. Jai hind.”
Rhea has insisted that she has never taken drugs but later claimed that Sushant used to consume marijuana.
Sushant was found dead at his Mumbai home on June 14, 2020, in what was initially believed to be suicide, however, there are many claims that he was actually murdered.
