Actress Rhea Chakraborty who is also known as one of the prime suspects in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
In the morning of Tuesday, 8 September 2020, Rhea Chakraborty was spotted outside the NCB office in Mumbai.
Today was her third day of being interrogated by the NCB. This breaking news was shared on Twitter by the news portal Republic TV.
Reportedly, Rhea will be taken to undergo a medical examination and NCB will shortly release a statement confirming the arrest.

It has also been reported that the actress will appear before a magistrate through a video conference call in the evening.
Allegedly, Rhea will be presented in front of the court alongside three others who have been arrested.
The actress has been interrogated by the NCB for three consecutive days in connection with the ongoing probe into the drug angle in the case.
Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti was one of the first people to react to the news on Twitter. She wrote:

Actress Kangana Ranaut who has been actively urging for justice in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case commented on Rhea’s arrest. She said:

Commenting on Kangana’s tweet, a user stated that Rhea’s arrest is not related to the murder case, rather it is concerning drugs. The user said:
“This is no victory, SSR too consumed drugs, everybody knows that. If alive, he too would have been arrested.”
“Not saying he was a bad guy, unfortunately youth falls for drugs. If she’s found guilty in the murder case, then it’s a different story.”

Another user brought to light a tweet by Rhea from 2009 about being engrossed in a story about an Indian girl who was sentenced for narcotics trafficking.

Priya Champaneria on Twitter questioned why Rhea was only arrested on drug charges. The actress was also considered a suspect concerning the murder case and money laundering. She said:

Rhea Chakraborty has been arrested under several sections of the NDPS Act. These include:
- Section 8 (c)
- Section 20 (b)
- Section 27 (a)
- Section 28
- Section 29

Despite Rhea’s arrest by the NCB, many people are questioning why she has not been arrested concerning the murder angle in Sushant’s death case.
Others continue to state that Rhea’s arrest is a huge step forward in the ongoing investigation. However, there is still a long way to go.
