Radhika Apte stole the show as she graced the catwalk for Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2017. Wearing a spectacular gown designed by Sailesh Singhania, the actress looked truly incredible.
Apte walked the runway on 18th August 2017, as part of Day 3 for LFW. Alongside fellow models, she was the showstopper for the Hyderabad designer’s showcase.
The beautiful actress wore a dazzling yellow saree, embellished with royal gold detailing. A regal cape adorned the full-length gown, adding a touch of magnificence to Radhika Apte’s overall look.
On her neck, the starlet also donned a glamorous, gold necklace. At its centre laid a lavish emerald, adding to the warm colours of the Sailesh Singhania dress.
Finishing the look, the Parched actress had her hair styled in luscious curls, followed with gold eyeshadow and a light pink lip.

Sailesh Singhania’s ‘Winter Rose’ Collection
For his Lakmé Fashion Week runway, Sailesh Singhania showcased his latest fashion line entitled ‘Winter Rose’. Taking inspiration from Indian princesses, he explored the Western influences on their sarees, typically styled for India’s warm climate.
For visits to colder cities of London and Paris, they would restyle their sarees to suit the climate. Yet these gowns would still retain elegance and majesty. The fashion designer explained:
“I am paying homage to the Princesses in the opulent handwoven silk saris and lehengas that lovingly hold in its warp and weft all that was dear to these ‘Beauties with a Purpose’.”
Sailesh Singhania replicated the vintage styles, choosing complex craftsmanship and luxurious colours. Favouring hand-woven textiles, the gowns are created through a fusion of playfulness and high-quality crafting.
With warm splashes of colour, the designer celebrates winter with red, greens, purples and more. All adorned with gold embellishments.
Following the fashions of Indian princesses, the designer has also added long coats to these sarees. From trench to pea coat styles, they emulate the enviable style of these royal figures.
Radhika Apte ~ A Golden Showstopper
Radhika Apte revealed her pride of walking down the runway for Sailesh Singhania. She said:
“The designer is committed to nurture the handloom heritage of India. He sustains 22 amazingly talented weaving communities and empowers them to commit to their craft. It was pleasure to walk for him at Lakmé Fashion Week W|F 2017 and showcase the weaving heritage.”
The designer also added: “It was really a pleasure being a part of Lakmé, I couldn’t think of anyone else who could fit perfect for being my muse than Radhika Apte.”
The starlet joins the list of many Indian actresses and actors who have graced the LFW catwalk. Past years have seen the likes of Kareena Kapoor, as well as Sushant Singh Rajput.
Lakmé Fashion Week will continue until Sunday 20th August 2017. With lots more creative fashion collections, there will be plenty more to see in the next coming days.
