"Seems that I have now caught it."
Actress Pooja Bedi shared a video with her Instagram followers and revealed that she has tested positive for Covid-19.
In an IGTV video posted on October 17, 2021, Pooja said that her “natural immunity” will help her recover.
Pooja has not been vaccinated and has been very vocal about her choice.
In the caption, Pooja wrote:
“I have finally been diagnosed as Covid positive.
“I chose/choose to stay unvaccinated as it’s my personal decision to allow my own natural immunity and alternative healing and wellness practices to accelerate my healing.”
In the three-minute video, Pooja also revealed that her fiancé and house help have also tested positive for the virus.
The actress had previously faced criticism and was trolled for her comments on wearing masks and being vaccinated against Covid-19.
Pooja had compared wearing a mask to being in a cage.
In a video posted in April 2021, Pooja said:
“Life is meant to be lived, not spent caged and masked for a year in fear of a virus that’s clearly not going away.”
Responding to the backlash, Pooja tweeted:
“The comments on my previous posts have revealed how many people despise those with wealth, health, positivity and mental freedom.
“Please study subconscious programming and the law of attraction.
“What you despise, you will never attract for yourself.
“So be careful of what you despise.”

In the video, Pooja said: “Hello everyone!
“I have been wondering why I have not got the coronavirus till now.
“It is so infectious and everyone, at some point, is going to get it. Well, voila!
“Seems that I have now caught it. I have tested positive.”
Pooja then went to reveal that she had been cleaning and assumed her symptoms were due to her dust allergy.
However, when her condition deteriorated, she decided to do a Covid-19 test.
Pooja said:
“It is quite the virus that kind of knocks you out, I have been passing out a lot.”
In the video, Pooja also revealed that she is eating plenty of fruit and doing steam inhalations.
Pooja added: “I know I have been vocal about not taking the vaccine.
“For me, it was a choice that I took.
“I know that my immunity will naturally rise up and I want to rely on natural immunity.
“Each one of you, go make your own choices, this is my chronicled journey.”
As well as an actress, Pooja is also a television talk show host and newspaper columnist.
She has also participated in reality television shows including Big Boss and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Pooja Bedi is currently living in Goa with her fiancé Maneck Contractor. The couple got engaged in 2019.
