Bollywood star Salman Khan has had a police complaint filed against him for snatching a local journalist’s mobile phone.
The incident happened on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, when the man tried to film a video of the actor.
Salman had been cycling from Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai after shooting a few promotional videos for his upcoming film Bharat.
On his way home, Salman got into an altercation with journalist Ashok Shyamlal Pandey, who was trying to take a video of him.
However, Pandey claimed that he and his cameraman Syed Irrfan saw the actor and asked the star’s bodyguard for permission to film him. The bodyguard agreed.
But, Salman was not keen on being filmed and this led to an incident between the two.
Pandey said: “We took out our mobile phones and started shooting. Suddenly, Salman turned around and gestured to his bodyguards.

Pandey alleged that Salman and his entourage misbehaved with them before the actor took his mobile phone.
“My cameraman was pushed by one of the guards and he even pushed our car with force. We ended up having an argument with them.
“Salman turned his cycle and came to us. We told him we were from the press.
“Salman said ‘It doesn’t matter’. Then he snatched our mobile phones and left.”
The actor’s bodyguards later returned their phones.
Pandey filed a complaint against Salman at the DN Nagar Police Station for snatching his phone from him.
After filing the complaint, the journalist wondered if Salman’s celebrity status gave him the right to snatch someone’s phone.
However, a cross-application was filed against Pandey by one of Salman’s bodyguards. They stated that he was following the actor and filming him without permission.
The matter between Salman and Pandey is currently under police jurisdiction.
On the professional front, Salman will be next seen in Bharat alongside Katrina Kaif. The film, which is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar is set to release on June 5, 2019.
The actor has also begun filming in Mumbai for Dabangg 3. It will reunite Prabhu Deva and Salman in their second outing together as director and actor.
