The woman’s anger was evident.

The Telugu actor NT Ramaswamy impressed many with his role in Love Reddy (2024).

However, it appeared that not everyone was a fan of his portrayal.

Ramaswamy recently found himself embroiled in controversy during a screening of the film.

The actor, who plays a negative role in the movie, was physically confronted by an audience member.

The woman was angered by his character’s actions on screen.

Released on October 18, 2024, Love Reddy featured NT Ramaswamy in a villainous role.

He is the antagonist who deliberately disrupts the relationship between the lead pair.

The film highlighted Ramaswamy’s character displaying increasingly violent tendencies.

After the screening, as the cast engaged with the audience, a woman approached Ramaswamy to express her strong disapproval of his character.

In a surprising escalation, she slapped him and grabbed him by the collar as she voiced her frustration over his onscreen behaviour.

The woman’s anger was evident, and despite attempts by co-stars to diffuse the situation, she continued to express her displeasure.

She insisted that Ramaswamy’s portrayal had real, emotional consequences.

The encounter visibly shook NT Ramaswamy, which prompted theatre security and co-stars to step in and protect him.

The security personnel ultimately escorted the woman out of the building.

This altercation was captured on video. It quickly went viral and raised questions about the difference between fiction and reality.

Some fans claimed that the incident appeared to be staged and argued that the woman’s slap did not seem natural.

This led to speculations of a publicity stunt orchestrated by the film’s team to generate publicity.

A user wrote: “This is a kind of cheap publicity which proves that film people can go to any extent to grab peoples’ attention!”

One commented: “Paid for publicity totally scripted.”

Another said: “It’s a marketing strategy.”

The film, which received mixed reviews from critics, centres on Narayana Reddy, who navigates a complex emotional landscape.

Love Reddy explored a unique take on an age-old love story.

The story was set against the backdrop of a rural village and intertwined love with tradition and societal expectations.

The film was written and directed by Smaran Reddy and produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

Love Reddy also features Anjan Ramachandra and Shravani Krishnaveni in lead roles.

The supporting roles were portrayed by Vani Channarayapatna, Pallavi Parva, and Jyothi Madan.
