‘CID’ to return to TV screens after 6 years

Sony TV has officially announced the return of the highly acclaimed television series CID, much to the delight of fans.

Fans of the beloved crime show CID were thrilled to learn that the series is set to return with its original cast.

Sony Entertainment Television made this exciting announcement on October 24, 2024. This sparked a wave of anticipation among viewers.

Sony released a teaser on their official Instagram account.

The channel confirmed that a full promo for the new season will drop on October 26, 2024.

The teaser opened dramatically with a close-up of Aditya Srivastava’s character, Abhijeet, as he appeared wounded.

The scene then shifted to ACP Pradyuman as he emerged from a police van.

This was accompanied by the ominous sound of a ticking time bomb.

The familiar whistle theme of the show played in the background. This increased the excitement and nostalgia for fans.

Fans quickly flooded the post with enthusiastic comments and expressed their joy at the return of such an iconic series.

A user said: “I can’t believe this! Childhood me is screaming and crying!

“I always wanted them to return and I am so happy.

It has been confirmed that along with Shivaji Satam, Daya Shetty will reprise his role as Daya.

Aditya Srivastava is set to return as Abhijeet. However, it is unclear who will play the beloved character Frederick.

The role was played by Dinesh Phadnis, who passed away in December 2023.

Created by BP Singh, CID gained a cult status which promises to captivate audiences once more.

The show originally aired from January 1998 to October 2018 and became a cultural phenomenon in India.

It was renowned for its gripping criminal cases and for its dramatic storytelling that enthralled fans for over two decades.

Over its impressive run, CID delivered a remarkable total of 1,547 episodes, making it one of the longest-running television series in Indian history.

There is excitement and anticipation for the thrilling adventures that Pradyuman and his team will embark upon.
