“Every day I wake up and go to sleep horrified."

Narinder Kaur broke her silence on the moment she became the victim of an alleged sexual offence by Laurence Fox.

In early May 2024, the controversial actor-turned-politician posted an upskirt image of Narinder on his X account.

The paparazzi photo of Narinder – who was in the back of a vehicle – showed her without any underwear on.

It was taken without her knowledge or consent when it was sent to picture sites by the paparazzi.

The image was removed from online platforms following the ban on upskirting images as part of the Voyeurism Act, which came into force on April 12, 2019.

Unsurprisingly, Laurence Fox’s post sparked outrage.

Gracing the cover of The Times supplement Times2 on May 22, Narinder Kaur spoke about the terrifying ordeal for the first time in a guest column.

Fox tried to defend his actions by claiming he was sticking for his friend and ex-glamour model Leilani Dowding, accusing Narinder of shaming Leilani for her modelling past.

But Narinder hit back: “Leilani called me a c**t on X. Later, Fox accused me of criticising her for ‘getting her baps out’ – his words.

“How anyone could think that about me is beyond belief.

“I’d never police another woman’s body. I post bikini selfies, I did OnlyFans (for two minutes), and I was in Big Brother over 20 years ago.

“I’ve faced relentless criticism for it all, but it’s my choice. I’d never shame anyone for doing Page 3.

“I’ve no issue with her ‘baps’. My problem is with her calling me a c**t and Fox posting that obscene image of me.”

On his podcast Fox & Father, Laurence Fox’s co-host Calvin Robinson initially disapproved of the post, saying “we must not humiliate our women”, which Fox said he agreed with.

However, the pair then made a racist joke about “Narinder’s core”.

Since the post was shared, Narinder has faced relentless abuse, with the likes of Andrew Tate and Tommy Robinson joining in the attack.

Tate suggested that Narinder was human trafficked while Robinson retweeted posts about her OnlyFans account.

Narinder said the experience was “a toxic pile-on and totally horrifying”, adding:

“Every day I wake up and go to sleep horrified. It’s all because Laurence Fox and his gang decided to put me in my place.”

Detailing the personal toll, Narinder said:

“I don’t often feel like crying, but in the South Asian community, my wearing a bikini on Big Brother two decades ago is still a sore point.

“The thousands of retweets and messages made me a laughing stock.

“Fox’s post stayed online for up to 48 hours and the damage was done.”

Narinder Kaur reported the incident to the Met Police and a spokesperson said they were “investigating the circumstances”.

Narinder initially felt hopeful: “The police arrived within 20 minutes and took my statement seriously, which gave me confidence.”

However, the hope quickly faded:

“Since the initial response, I’ve had no updates. I feel frustrated and fobbed off.”

Highlighting the ongoing impact on her life, she said:

“I’ve worked hard to build my media career since Big Brother.

“Now, every time I tweet, no matter what I say – even something as simple as ‘Isn’t it a lovely sunny weekend?’ – the replies are derogatory. It’s like being assaulted every day.

“Many have shown support and condemned Fox’s actions, but it doesn’t cushion the blow. I hope that in time, it will be different. I want it to go away, to disappear.”
