"a person would have been forced to watch only this drama."
Nadia Khan has stirred controversy by calling the drama Humraaz the “worst drama of 2025” on her review show Kya Drama Hai.
The blunt criticism of the Ayeza Khan and Feroze Khan-starrer sparked immediate backlash from fans and drama enthusiasts across social media.
Not holding back, Nadia said:
“Humraaz drama might have been watched more if it had been released in the old days.
“When there was no internet, no cable channels, no mobile phones, no activities, no friends, and no other form of entertainment and a person would have been forced to watch only this drama.
“Only in such a case could this drama have been watched. It can only be a forced watch.”
She also took aim at the direction, calling it poorly executed and uninspired.
Joining Nadia in her critique were fellow panellists Atiqa Odho and Shamoon Abbasi.
They also expressed disappointment in the drama’s writing, pacing, and performances.
The show’s host, Mukarram Kaleem, a former actor, facilitated the discussion as the panel tore into Humraaz.
This is a recurring trend on the show, which has developed a reputation for targeting popular dramas.
Fans of the drama have hit back, defending Ayeza and Feroze while calling out what they see as unfair and repetitive negativity.
One viewer noted: “Nadia Khan always speaks against Geo TV dramas. You can check the history of her shows.
“She is consistently against Geo TV productions.”
Another fan commented: “She speaks so nonsensically against a TV show, and the other judges start shaping their opinions based on hers.”
Others took issue with the personal jabs. A social media user noted:
“Look at them — they’re saying Ayeza looks old. Whatever she looks like, she still looks younger than Mehwish Hayat.”
Another added: “Even cricket commentary isn’t this ruthless. You guys tear actors and projects apart. One can criticise in a respectful manner.”
Kya Drama Hai has previously come under fire for slamming well-received shows like Bismil, Sunn Mere Dil, Jaan Nisar, and Ishq Murshid.
Despite the uproar, the show continues to attract viewership, largely due to its bold and often divisive commentary.
With Humraaz now at the centre of attention, the clash between harsh criticism and loyal fandom shows no signs of fading soon.
