Mindy Kaling’s dramatic weight loss has reignited speculation that she might be using Ozempic.
The 45-year-old actress shared photos from a Netflix screening of Anuja on February 11, 2025, leaving fans stunned by her visibly slimmer figure.
Mindy attended the event in a black button-up dress with gold details that accentuated her toned arms and slender legs.
Despite her ongoing physical transformation, which began with a 40lb weight loss in 2023, her latest photos show an even more striking change.
Rumours about Kaling’s possible use of Ozempic began after she gave birth to her third child, Anne, in February 2024.
Fans speculated that her rapid postpartum weight loss might have been assisted by medication. However, Kaling has never addressed these claims directly.
On social media, netizens believed she used Ozempic to achieve her new figure, as one commented:
“Of course she’s using weight loss medication.
“It’s no coincidence that all these celebrities with their personal trainers, personal chefs, and private home gyms who couldn’t lose weight even with all that privilege, are suddenly dropping the pounds like it’s nothing.
“And then most of them gaslight us by claiming ‘diet and exercise’.”
Another declared: “For sure she’s on Ozempic.”

At the screening, Mindy Kaling showcased her style with a chic black dress featuring a high collar, gold buttons, and a slit that highlighted her svelte frame.
She paired the dress with black Louboutin heels and accessorised with gold jewellery, including chunky earrings and a thick bracelet.
Mindy captioned her Instagram post: “Thank you @netflix for hosting yesterday’s screening of @anujathefilm!”
She also shared photos from the screening and gave followers a glimpse of Netflix’s snack room.
Mindy joked: “8 pm on a Monday was a quiet time in the Netflix LA offices, so you know I took advantage and asked to see the snack room.”
Anuja, the film she co-produced, tells the story of a nine-year-old seamstress in Delhi, India, who faces a life-changing decision when she’s offered a chance to go to school.
Despite the rumours that she’s using Ozempic, Mindy previously spoke about her fitness journey:
“I’m feeling really confident in my body these days, which is not something that I’ve been able to say for my whole life.”
She credited weight training and alternating between running and hiking for helping her stay fit.
The Mindy Project star also spoke about the challenges of balancing fitness with parenting
“It’s hard with two kids that I wake up really early and I fit it in.”
Mindy Kaling has three children – Katherine, Spencer and Anne – but has not revealed their father’s identity.
Her Office co-star and longtime friend BJ Novak is the godfather to her older children.
While rumours have circulated that he may be the father, Mindy has never confirmed or denied them, choosing to keep her children’s paternity private.
