Former Bigg Boss participant, Manisha Rani, emerged triumphant in the esteemed dancing competition, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.
Rani, who joined the show as a wildcard entrant, clinched the coveted title on March 2, 2024.
Alongside a cash reward of Rs. 30 Lakh (£28,600), she also bagged an exclusive trip to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
Paired with choreographer Ashutosh Pawar, Manisha surpassed tough competition from actors Shoaib Ibrahim and Adrija Sinha to win the prestigious trophy.
This victory marks her exceptional journey from wildcard entrant to champion. She is the second wild card contestant to win this reality show.
Previously, 14-year-old Teriya Dagar won the show as a wildcard in season 9.
Expressing her heartfelt gratitude, Rani took to Instagram to thank her fans for their unwavering support throughout her Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 voyage.
Reflecting on her experience, she said: “This is not just my victory, this is our victory.”
As a wildcard entrant, Manisha Rani dedicated herself to rigorous training and pushed her boundaries to showcase her dancing prowess.
She particularly acknowledged Ashutosh Pawar for his unwavering support and guidance.
After emerging victorious on the show, she shared that she plans to enter Bollywood now and wishes to do a film Kartik Aaryan someday.
Speaking about her victory, Manisha said:
“I feel very happy. I still cannot believe that the trophy is in my hand. It is like a dream come true.
“Earlier I used to think that since I came in as a wildcard, I might not win.
“People are sceptical about coming as wildcards because 90% of the time they don’t win as they don’t get the time to prove themselves.
“By the time we join the show, half the season has passed, and people have made their mark already.
“But if in little time you can do what others were not able to do from the start, then you can win.
“Hard work is the key. I experimented with various dance forms in my journey, and I got very little time to prove myself, but I am glad I did.”
The grand finale of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 witnessed a spectacular performance by the five finalists, including Shoaib Ibrahim, Sreerama Chandra, Adrija Sinha and Dhanashree Verma.
The show, judged by Farah Khan, Arshad Warsi and Malaika Arora, was hosted by the dynamic duo, Rithvik Dhanjani, and Gauahar Khan.
The finale was also graced by the cast of the film Murder Mubarak – Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Verma and Sanjay Kapoor.
These film stars also joined the contestants on the stage for a performance.
With her infectious energy and remarkable skills, she has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the world of dance reality shows.
