Indian designer, Manish Arora, has unveiled a stunning line of handbags for his Autumn/Winter 2015 collection that will blow your mind!
The ‘Winter Is Coming’ collection is an assortment of quirky, skull-shaped backpacks and faux fur handbags with gorgeous prints.
The ‘John Galliano of India’ is known for flamboyant and daring designs. His A/W 2015 Ready-To-Wear collection for women is renowned for its vivid colour palettes, outlandish prints and warrior-like compositions.
Speaking about his creative inspirations, the Delhi-based designer shared an insight into what triggers his exceptionally wondrous pieces being showcased at Paris Fashion Week:
“This is me. I am a fantasy person, I live in a fantasy.”
This certainly translates into his rock-and-roll handbag line. In what is being compared to a Game of Thrones-type styling, the bags are draped in golden accessories, faux furs and extravagant jewellery that is a strong contender for any fashion battle.
His most popular piece by far is the hot pink Indian Bejewelled Skull Bag, embellished with bold and golden chains across its structure and two zips which constitute for a skull and mouth piece.
The Roses and Spiker Skull Bag follows the same concept, but opts for a matte black lace body and golden spikes to make up the headdress – perfect for bringing out your inner rock chick!
Another style of handbags in the collection comes in a backpack form, paired with faux fur handle straps and an array of prints to choose from, making them ideal for casual and daytime outfits.
No doubt the edgy designer was appointed as the creative director for the women’s collection at Paco Rabanne’s, also known for its rebellious take on fashion.
