"My conversation with Bill Gates abt female empowerment"
Actress Mallika Sherawat caught everyone’s attention when she revealed that she met Microsoft Founder and philanthropist Bill Gates and managed to capture a quick photo.
Recently, Mallika attended Amazon CEO and founder Jeff Bezos’ lavish housewarming party on Monday, 27, January 2020, in Washington D.C.
CEO Jeff Bezos, who recently visited India, renovated his 11-bedroom mansion.
The property which is worth an incredible $23 million (£17,667,565) features 11 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms and an extravagant rear garden.
The party guest list included international names like Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Bill Gates and Mallika Sherawat.
Bezos treated his guests to an exclusive dinner at the Alfalfa Club, an annual black-tie banquet before hosting a party at his renovated mansion.
The 43-year-old actress took to Instagram to share the picture of herself with Bill Gates.
Mallika can be seen wearing a stunning vibrant pink gown with a ruched neckline. She wore silver and pink droplet earrings and a matching necklace.
Mallika opted for kohl eyes with a pink lip and a voluminous natural blow-dry to complement her ensemble.
Stood next to her was a suave Bill Gates who donned a black suit complete with a bow tie and a gold meddle. The duo smiled for the camera. Mallika captioned it:
“So enjoyed my conversation with Bill Gates abt female empowerment #inspired #billgates #womensrights #femaleempowerment.”
As the caption suggests, the actress appeared to spend time with the businessman and talked to him about women empowerment.
Bill Gates has helped Indian women through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The foundation helps women’s economic empowerment and development in three major ways:
- Access to income and assets.
- Take control of and benefit from economic gains.
- Have the power to make a decision.
Mallika strongly protests for the rights of women in India. The actress is involved in various charities that work in empowering and educating girls.
At the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, Mallika took a stand and showed solidarity to the NGO, Free a Girl India by locking herself in a cage for twelve hours.
Free a Girl India helps raise awareness and fights against child prostitution.
Mallika’s demonstration was to show how young girls are caged inside a small room as they suffer both psychological and physical abuse.
It was great to see Mallika Sherawat and Bill Gates, who share a common ground, come together to talk about female empowerment.
