"I was only offered casting couch by big names."
Makeup artist Ayesha Butt has revealed that actor Furqan Qureshi made her an inappropriate offer while subjecting her to indecent exposure.
She also recounted the harassment she faced in showbiz on Fiza Ali’s 24 Plus Podcast.
During the conversation, Fiza Ali asked Ayesha tough questions regarding her provocative content and choices.
This prompted the makeup artist to reveal a difficult chapter of her career. She said:
“I went to Karachi to work in showbiz, where producers told me, ‘We will give you work after you sleep with us.’ Unfortunately, this is true.”
She explained that despite completing multiple photoshoots, stills, and web series, her work was often shelved or heavily edited because she refused to comply with such offers.
Highlighting her acting experience, she added: “I worked in the drama serial Sotan. I have worked with Agha Shiraz, Saleem Mairaj, and Sohail Sameer.
“Eight years ago, when I came, I was only offered casting couch by big names in the industry.
“Photographer Munna Mushtaq asked me to sleep with him, after which I left the media industry.”
Ayesha further revealed another disturbing encounter, saying: “Besides that, there was an actor from Mere Paas Tum Ho. I don’t remember his name; he played Danish’s friend in it.
“When I went to meet him, he was literally sitting in his office with his pants unzipped, asking me to get physical with him.
“He also has a very beautiful wife from the showbiz industry.
“He told me that if I wanted to flourish in showbiz, I had to sleep with him.
“After that, I left the media industry and joined a salon. I continued working there and focused on building my career through hard work.”
Fiza Ali was visibly shocked by the claims and pulled up a photograph of the actor in question.
Furqan Qureshi was the one who played the role of Danish’s friend in Meray Paas Tum Ho.
Fiza sought confirmation from Ayesha, to which the makeup artist replied: “Yes that’s him.”

The revelations quickly drew public attention, with netizens expressing mixed reactions.
Many questioned the credibility of her claims, with some suggesting that Ayesha did not appear conventionally attractive enough to tempt an actor of such stature.
Others pointed to Fiza Ali’s reputation for stunts and pranks designed to go viral, urging caution in taking the statements at face value.
