"Is this child going to get a second chance?"
A video clip went viral on social media featuring a Pakistani student being detained for allegedly attempting to rape a 14-year-old British girl.
What was arguably even more shocking is that the man defended himself by saying he was “new” in the UK and “doesn’t know much about it”.
In the clip, the Pakistani student, apparently named Mohammad Ali was restrained by two men.
The video was shared on X and the tweet read: “Mohammad Ali, from Pakistan, attempted to rape a 14-year-old British girl child.
“Caught and arrested, Ali says, ‘I am new here. I didn’t know it was illegal’.”
In the video, Ali is asked: “Why would you want to do that with a 14-year-old child?”
Ali replied: “I am very sorry about this.”
The man shot back: “Too late for sorry. I don’t want to hear you’re sorry.”
Ali said: “I mean, I am new here. I don’t know much about it.”
The Pakistani student went on to reveal that he had been in the UK for two months.
He shared that he was studying at university and was in the country on an educational visa.
Ali was then seen pleading with the people around him, repeating his apologies.
The man in front of him refused and said: “I don’t care how sorry you think you are right now.
“What would you have done if that little girl was saying, ‘Please don’t talk to me like that. Please don’t do this?'”
The Pakistani student, who was on his knees said: “I will never do it again.”
A woman’s voice then demanded: “Let me just ask you this: is this child going to get a second chance to get her mind right again?
“No, so you are going to stand there. You listen to me! I am talking!”
Ali appeared to get emotional and begged for the police not to be called.
The man replied: “They have already been called, Ali. What do you not understand about that?
“What you’re saying is that you want to ring the police again and say, ‘Don’t come, it’s okay. He said sorry’.
“Ali, you have done what you have done. You need to face the consequences.”

Underneath the post, a user commented: “Really? Is this his excuse? He should be jailed for life.”
Another person wrote: “First of all this is illegal in Pakistan. Pakistani law does not allow anybody to do this kind of act.
“If someone commits this heinous crime they will get a very bad punishment from society and Pakistani law.
“I just want to make it clear.”
Another viewer angrily declared: “What a disgusting piece of s**t and disgraced person. He must rot in jail.”
