The romantic Pakistani drama Superstar is creating a big buzz for 2019. The film stars the gorgeous Mahira Khan and the dashing Bilal Ashraf.
The entertainment industry got together for the trailer launch in July 2019. Earlier in the same month saw the release of the track ‘Bekaraan’, with the first look posters of the film coming out in June 2018.
Award-winning filmmaker Eheteshamuddin is the director of Superstar, with Momina & Duraid Films producing the movie in association with Hum Films.
The wonderful music is by Azaan Sami Khan and Saad Sultan.
Azaan, the son of actress Zeba Bakhtiyar has also done the screenplay for the Superstar.
Official Trailer and Launch
The official trailer of the film made by my the makers of Bin Roye (2015) came out on July 15, 2019.
The trailer, which is just over three minutes shows the dreamy Mahira Khan at a glance playing Noor in the film. Viewers also get a glimpse of Bilal who plays Sameer Khan, the love interest of Noor.
However, the trailer reveals some twists in the story, as everyone awaits what unfolds for the two lead characters.
Mahira and Bilal have great on-screen chemistry, with excitement building up for the fans.

Bringing together the creme of the entertainment industry, Momina & Duraid Films and Hum Films had an official launch for the trailer of Superstar.
Mahira and Bilal Ashraf made an appearance at this special event.
Coming out to support the film, celebrities galore were in attendance, including Humayun Saeed, Hania Aamir, Asim Azhar, Hareem Farooq, Ali Rehman Khan and Shahroz Sabzwari.

‘Bekaraan’ Song
Hum TV made the song ‘Bekaraan’ available on their official YouTube channel on July 4, 2019.
Ali Sethi and Zeb Bangash are the vocalist’s fo this romantic song, with Shakeel Sohail penning the lyrics.
The lyrics are very calm and soothing. The song itself touches the heart and is beautiful when listening to it. It will get many into a romantic mood again.
Since release, the track has over 1.5 million YouTube views. Featuring Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf, both actors look elegant in black.
One YouTube user complimenting the dance and attire of the stars writes:

Viewers get to see Mahira and Bilal twirling in the song.

Film Posters
The first look posters were unveiled by the makers of the films at the start of June 2019. The posters show Mahira and Bilal reuniting after Bin Roye.
The films moving posters begins with the lines reading:
“If you want to shine, you’ll need the darkness.”
This follows with Mahira in a stunning royal blue gown, with heartthrob Bilal in a black suit. In the background, we can hear the soft yet impactful voice of singer Atif Aslam.
The Superstar actress put up the poster on her official twitter account, writing:
“Films have a destiny of their own. I have held on to this for years.”

Superstar is set to release in cinemas on Eid al-Adha, August 9 2019. The film also features special appearances by Hania Amir, Saira Shehroz, Osman Khalid Butt and Mani
Thre is a special dance number starring Kubra Khan in the film also.
