“Our client expressed his deepest regret"
Actress Luviena Lodh’s estranged husband has broken his silence over his wife’s allegations against him, Mahesh Bhatt and the family.
The actress took to Instagram to share a video detailing the accusations against the accused of harassment and intimidation.
Luviena Lodh claimed her husband Sumit Sabharwal is the nephew of Mahesh Bhatt.
However, Sumit has now claimed that he is not related to Mahesh Bhatt but is an employee of Vishesh Films.
According to a statement released by his lawyer, the allegations have been strongly denied. It read:
“The claims and contents of the video being circulated by our client’s estranged wife Mrs Luviena Lodh are denied in tote.
“Our client expressed his deepest regret that the good name of Mr Mahesh Bhatt and Mr Mukesh Bhatt is being sullied solely due to his pending matrimonial dispute with his wife.
“It is made amply clear that our client is merely an employee of M/s Vishesh Films Pvt Ltd. and not related to either of the Bhatt brothers as has falsely and maliciously been sought to be made out by the video in question.”
The statement added:
“Every attempt being made in order to formulate a relation between our client and the Bhatt brothers must be construed as a well-constructed conspiracy to precipitate and motivate a lucrative ‘settlement’ for her disputes with our client; as is amply made clear in her interviews as well.”
In Luviena’s video posted on Instagram, she began the video by stating that she is the “wife of Mahesh’s nephew.”
She also claimed that Sumit supplied “drugs and women” to various members of the film fraternity.
Luviena Lodh also added that Mahesh Bhatt was fully aware of what was going on and was the “biggest don of this industry.”
She alleged that “if you don’t play by his rules, he will make life difficult for you.”
The actress also called out the filmmaker for ruining people’s lives by destroying their careers.
Luviena Lodh went on to mention that she was being threatened and intimidated by Mahesh Bhatt. She said:
“Ever since I filed a case against him, he has been trying to enter my house and remove me from this house.”
In retaliation to the accusations made against him, Mahesh Bhatt revealed that he will be taking legal action against Luviena Lodh.
According to reports, the filmmaker has issued a civil suit before the Bombay High Court against the actress.
He is seeking Rs 1 crore in damages. He also requested for a restraining order which prevents her from making distasteful and slanderous remarks.
