Indian filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is set to take legal action against his nephew’s estranged wife, actress Luviena Lodh after he was accused of harassment.
Luviena Lodh posted a video on Instagram on Friday, 23 October 2020 in which she revealed the dark realities of Mahesh Bhatt and his family.
In the video, Luviena started the video by introducing herself as Sumit Sabharwal’s wife, who is the nephew of Mahesh Bhatt. She said:
“I am making this video for the safety of my family and myself. I was married to Mahesh Bhatt’s nephew Sumit Sabharwal.
“I have filed for a divorce case against him because I got to know that he supplies drugs to actors like Amyra Dastur, Sapna Pabbi and others.
“There are many pictures of various women in his mobile phone which he shows to directors and supplies girls as well.”
She went on to accuse Mahesh Bhatt of being the biggest don in Bollywood.
“Mahesh Bhatt is fully aware of this. Mahesh Bhatt is the biggest don of this industry and he operates this entire system. If you don’t play by their rules, they will make life difficult for you.”
Luviena Lodh also revealed that Mahesh Bhatt has been trying to intimidate and threaten her.
“Ever since I have filed a case against him, he has been behind my life and trying to break into my house.
“When I go to the police station to file a complaint, no one takes my NC. And if somehow they take my NC, no action is taken.”
Now, according to a report by Times of India, Mahesh Bhatt’s lawyer released a statement addressing the claims made by the actress. The statement read:
“With reference to the video released by one Luviena Lodh, we, on behalf of our client Mahesh Bhatt, refute the allegations.
“Such allegations are not only false and defamatory but have serious consequences in law.”
“Our client will take such action in accordance with law as advice. SD/ – Naik Naik & CO. Legal Counsel, Vishesh Films.”
Luviena Lodh even named numerous individuals who she believes will be responsible if something ever happens to her. She said:
“If tomorrow anything happens to me or my family, the only people who are responsible are Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, Sumit Sabharwal, Sahil Saigal, Kumkum Saigal.”
