"We can act from our side if we receive any formal complaint from the victim concerned."

Indian police have revealed they are ready to take action on a 29-year-old man. He has titled himself as ‘Aishwarya’s son’.

Chodavaram Circle inspector M Srinivas said if Aishwarya Rai filed a police complaint against the individual, named Sandeep Kumar, they would act upon it.

He told Times of India:

“We can act from our side if we receive any formal complaint from the victim concerned.

“We also came to know through unofficial information that Sandeep had earlier claimed to be a disciple of music director AR Rehman. [sic]”

However, Radharani, the superintendent of Government Hospital for Mental Care, clarified that the man could suffer from a condition called ‘Grandiosity’ due to his behaviour.

If this is the case, police wouldn’t be able to take much action.

On 2nd January 2018, news emerged of Kumar’s shocking claims that the famous actress is his mother. Hailing from Andhra Pradesh, he told reporters that she gave birth to him via IVF treatment in London in 1988.

His claims mean she would have been aged around 15. In addition, he suggested that her parents looked after him until the age of 3, where he was taken to Chodavaram.

The 29-year-old said to reporters: “I was born to her by IVF in London in 1988. I was brought up in Chodavaram from age three to 27.

“I was with my grandmother Brinda Krishnaraj Rai‘s family at the age of one and two in Mumbai. My grandfather Krishnaraj Rai died in April 2017 (March), and my uncle’s name in Aditya Rai. [sic]”

However, Sandeep had no documents or photos to support his claims. He also added he wanted to make contact with Aishwarya.

“I’m getting enormous headache and anger at my native place, most of my relatives have manipulated things since childhood, otherwise I would have come back to my mother before itself with clear information.

“Due to lack of information, I could not come to my mother, so now I got all clarity. The ultimate thing is I want my mom.”

It has led many to speculate whether Aishwarya would file a complaint, with charges of damaging her reputation.

While the actress has not commented, IndiaTimes reportedly approached her manager. However, he slammed the claims as fake and refused to give Sandeep any publicity.
