"We wish her success in all her future endeavours!”
Actress Kriti Kharbanda has quit Rumi Jaffery’s upcoming thriller film Chehre (2020) starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles.
Emraan Hashmi will be portraying the role of a business tycoon, while Amitabh Bachchan will be playing the role of a lawyer.
Since the unfortunate news broke out, there have been numerous speculations concerning the reason behind Kriti’s departure.
Rumours like her diva tantrums and professional behaviour circulated the internet. Although, these have been proved untrue.
According to a report by SpotBoye, Kriti Kharbanda refused to do intimate scenes, which was the main issue.
After discussions and arguments, Kriti felt it was best to quit the film.
The filmmakers of Chehre released an official statement addressing Kriti’s exit. They stated it was a mutual decision.
Anand Pandit Motion Pictures went on Twitter to state:
“In the light of recent media reports, we wish to clarify that @kriti_official & @apmpictures have mutually agreed to part ways on a cordial & professional note. We wish her success in all her future endeavours!”
Kriti Kharbanda is yet to comment on the update. Despite Kriti exiting the film, she recently featured in Pagalpanti (2019) with John Abraham, Arshad Warsi and Pulpit Samrat, Ileana D’Cruz, and Anil Kapoor.
Pagalpanti follows the story of Indian tourists who set out on holiday only for things to take an interesting turn.
As expected the filmmakers of Chehre are already on the hunt for a replacement actress and a few names have been thrown in the pipeline.
A Pinkvilla report disclosed that producer Anand Pandit has been in talks with Ankita Lokhande. Ankita has apparently approved of the film.
Ankita recently starred in the film, Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi (2019).
As per various reports, actresses Mouni Roy and Iranian model-actress, Elnaaz Nourouzi have also been considered for the role.
Which actress would you like to see replace Kriti Kharbanda, the stunning Mouni Roy, the talented Ankita Lokhande or the striking Elnaaz Nourouzi?
We look forward to finding out who the producers select to star in Chehre.
Chehre is expected to release on April 20, 2019, and we hope the filmmakers secure Kriti’s replacement.
