Kartik Aaryan was trolled shortly after he released a motion poster for his upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
The release date for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was revealed along with a poster featuring Kartik in the centre.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a sequel to the 2007 hit, which was directed by Priyadarshan and starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja.
Kartik shared a video reveal of the poster, which garnered over 430,000 likes.
It features a silhouette in the forefront of a full moon. The figure later turns out to be Kartik.
Crows, a full moon and shadows provide a spooky teaser to the upcoming horror-comedy film.
The theme music of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 plays in the background, heightening the intrigue.
The video features the words: “The Haunting Comedy Returns…”
This is followed by the release date which is March 25, 2022.
Kartik shared the poster for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 on his Instagram page to his 21.9 million followers.
He captioned the post: “25th MARCH 2022 #BhoolBhulaiyaa2 At a theatre near you!”

In 2019, the first poster of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was shared via Instagram.
While some people liked the new poster, others were not happy with Kartik playing the lead role, with them stating that they wanted Akshay Kumar back in the lead role for the sequel.
One user wrote: “Akshay Kumar missing.”
While another wrote: “I am thinking if this movie was cast with #AkshayKumar, #PareshRawal & #RajpalYadav again then how laughter while watching the film.

The film was initially expected to release in July 2021, however, it was postponed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Production was first affected in March 2020 due to the pandemic.
Days before the nationwide lockdown was announced, the team had been filming in Lucknow.
The announcement of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2‘s release date comes just days after Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s statement that all cinema’s in Maharashtra will be allowed to open after October 22, 2021.
Annes Bazmee directed the film while Bhushan Kumar has produced it.
Kartik co-stars in the upcoming horror-comedy film alongside Tabu and Kiara Advani.
It was previously reported that Kartik lost his voice during the shooting of the climax.
A member of the film crew said:
“Tabu and Kartik Aaryan were shooting the climax of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
“It is a massive undertaking, with lots of drama and action and Kartik had an insane amount of screaming and shouting to do.
“At the end of it, Kartik just lost his voice. It was frightening. We all panicked.”
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also stars Rajpal Yadav and Govind Namdev.
Kartik was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal 2.
The actor has a long list of films lined up for release, including Dhamaka and Captain India.
