"a stepping stone for aspiring chefs"
The 11th edition of Karachi’s most awaited Eat Festival, featuring food and music, is set to make a return on January 12, 2024.
This three-day extravaganza promises an unforgettable experience for the city’s food enthusiasts and music lovers.
Like previous years, attendees can anticipate a diverse array of food stalls that offer both sweet and savoury culinary delights, as well as an exciting evening of music.
The Eat Festival is an experimental initiative that provides a platform for small businesses and home chefs to showcase their offerings to a broader audience.
There has been a constant rise in home vendors and for 2024, there is a 75% rise.
The festival’s charisma lies in the exploration of interesting culinary discoveries which features a wide range of international and traditional foods that consistently captivate its visitors.
Visitors can look forward to an enthralling mix of established favourites as well as emerging eateries and food entrepreneurs.
The three-day event consists of names such as De Calzone, 75 Degree Hot, Yak Grill, Dear Croissant, Jani Biryani, Sweetistry and E Street to name a few.
The impending instalment marks the initiation of the BEAT (Bringing Emerging Artists Together) Festival.
BEAT is a musical event created to provide a platform for the rising and undiscovered musical talent in Pakistan.
The grand finale takes place on the main stage, presenting a sea of diverse musical talents.
Omar Omari, CEO of the Eat Festival, said:
“As Karachi Eat serves as a stepping stone for aspiring chefs venturing into the city’s food scene, the BEAT segment of the festival seeks to provide a similar opportunity for young emerging musicians eagerly awaiting a chance to showcase their talents.
“We are dedicated to tapping into the vast potential of Pakistan’s music landscape.
“Over the years, it has been truly fulfilling to support numerous home chefs by offering them a platform.
“It is our way of giving back to the city that has embraced the Eat Festival as its own.”
The festival also commemorates the success of the second season of Beginnings With Us, a competition where home chefs compete for a spot at the Eat Festival.
Two-time winner Ayesha Mughal, of Aysh De Cuisine, will be participating in the event and is believed to be set up at stall number 76.
She is known for her experimental twists on delicacies such as Gol Gappi which she presents with pizza flavours.
The event guarantees a blend of culinary delights and captivating musical performances.
