Janhvi Kapoor raised temperatures at designer Kunal Rawal’s pre-wedding celebrations as she put a modern twist on the classic saree.
The actress took to Instagram to share a series of photos in the outfit.
The shimmering saree was by Manish Malhotra and it shows off his signature sequin work, making it a perfect party outfit.
It was a shade of ivory with shimmering sequin embellishments in purple, light blue and silver hues.
The saree was adorned with silver gota patti work along the borders.
Janhvi paired the saree with a sultry bralette that featured a plunging neckline, showing off her curves.
She opted for beaded dangling earrings and a statement ring which complemented her saree.
Her long, brunette hair was left open and centre-parted with curled ends.
Janhvi sported glamorous makeup, choosing a glossy lip shade, kohl-lined eyes, shimmery eye shadow, mascara, sleek black eyeliner, sharp contouring, blushed cheeks and a dewy base.
While the pictures were too hot to handle, Janhvi referenced her wintery saree and wrote in the caption:
“Icy-spicy.”
Unsurprisingly, fans loved the pictures and flooded the comments section with fire and heart emojis.
Manish Malhotra appreciated how his saree looked on the actress, posting an array of heart emojis.
Her sister Khushi Kapoor wrote: “Wow.”
One fan said: “Ufffff I can’t get enough of looking at you, I’m dazzled, hottie woman.”
Another commented: “Here ice is burning. My temperature is going up.”
A third comment read: “You are the most beautiful angel on the earth. You are looking hot and cute like an angel.”
However, there were some who were not a fan of Janhvi’s outfit, with many trolling her for its revealing nature.
One sarcastically said: “Indian woman, very cultured.”
Others compared the actress to Urfi Javed, who is known for her bold and revealing outfits.
One person wrote: “Please don’t be Urfi Javed.”
Despite the comments, Janvhi Kapoor did not let them affect her and she enjoyed the event.
Fashion designers Kunal Rawal and Arpita Mehta are set to tie the knot.
They hosted a pre-wedding celebration and it was a star-studded affair.
As well as Janhvi, the event saw the likes of Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Rakul Preet Singh, Shanaya Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Varun Dhawan.
Meanwhile, Janhvi will next be seen in Mr and Mrs Mahi with Rajkummar Rao.
She will also star opposite Varun Dhawan in Bawaal.
Janhvi was last seen in Good Luck Jerry which is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
