"It doesn’t get better than this. Yaas queen.”
Janhvi Kapoor made her debut at Paris Haute Couture Week 2024 and she looked marvellous in a striking ensemble.
The actress walked the ramp for designer Rahul Mishra’s Couture Fall 2024 line, named Aura.
Janhvi cut a glamorous figure in a matching black bustier and skirt ensemble.
The standout element was the textured skirt which gave off mermaid vibes.
It had a floor-grazing hem, a scalloped tiered design embellished with purple, green, and gold sequins, a dramatic train, and a high-rise waist.
Janhvi paired it with a strapless bustier, which featured a plunging neckline that highlighted her decolletage.
The cropped curved hem exposed her midriff, while sequin embellishments adorned it, providing a bodycon fit.
It blended perfectly with the predominantly black and grey collection but still managed to stand out before and after Janhvi joined the model line-up.
Janhvi’s hair and makeup were her usual glamorous self and it highlighted her features.
Explaining his collection, Rahul Mishra wrote on Instagram:
“Predominantly black and greyscale, the collection represents depth and mystery associated with aura as it appears to be emanated from the silhouette.
“The collection becomes an attempt to articulate through couture clothing, how the said omnipresent aura may interact with a living body.
“And how the living body becomes a vessel for a part of this energy, and draws its greatness from it.”
While Janhvi Kapoor’s look was stunning, her walk received a mixed response on social media.
One stated:
“She looks divine.”
Another wrote: “It doesn’t get better than this. Yaas queen.”

On the other hand, a user asked: “Is this a walk?”
Another person said: “That’s not a runaway walk, that’s a I don’t wanna get out of bed in the morning walk.”
A third added: “Is the video in slo-mo, or is this real?”
One comment read: “It looks as if a dead person is dragging his body out of a grave. Her walk is so bad.”
Nevertheless, Janhvi was grateful to be part of Paris Haute Couture Week.
She posted: “A first. Thank you Rahul Misra for having me as a part of your spectacular show that encapsulated energies and auras so beautifully.
“There was a meditative zen-like vibration in the room that felt like such a change of pace compared to the exciting but hectic madness at Paris Couture Week that was contagious right till the door of your show.
“The slow soulful music, the patiently gliding models in your intricate garments and most importantly you and your family and teams sincerity, simplicity, unadulterated creativity and passion made this a perfect first.”
