Pooja ended up jumping into the Hudco Dam. Her body was discovered by a security guard and the police were called.
Meanwhile, Pooja’s father, Diwakar Singh, was informed about the incident and he arrived at the scene.
Police turned up and took the body out of the dam. They then sent it for a post-mortem.
Diwakar explained that Pooja was the middle daughter within the family. He said that ever since the lockdown was implemented, Pooja would be talking on her mobile phone for hours.

Diwakar continued searching for his daughter. Locals told him that they saw the Indian girl walking towards the Hudco Dam.
He went to the dam and asked the security guard if he had seen Pooja. The guard said that he saw no one.
However, at 6 am the next day, the security guard discovered Pooja’s body. He immediately called the police.
Police arrived at the scene and took the body out. They then contacted Diwakar and told him what had happened.
