A police case has been registered against an Indian father after he allegedly raped his 13-year-old daughter multiple times.
The shocking incident took place in the Vikarabad district of Telangana.
The 35-year-old unnamed man allegedly committed the depraved acts against his daughter while under the lockdown.
It was reported that the teenager studied at a boarding school in another district. She returned home just before the nationwide lockdown was implemented in March 2020.
The accused is a daily wage earner and has been married four times. His first two marriages ended with divorce while his third wife passed away.
The victim was the daughter of his third wife.
At the time, the Indian father was living with his mother, fourth wife and their son.
The victim had been at boarding school but she returned home as her school, like many others, were shut as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
According to reports, the lockdown had resulted in the father losing his job so he was always at home.
During the lockdown period, the accused allegedly raped his daughter on numerous occasions. Moreover, the family members were unaware of the man’s crimes.
The most recent incident happened before a festival celebration.
After sexually assaulting his daughter, the father threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone what had happened.
However, the victim approached her stepmother and narrated her horrific ordeal.
The stepmother subsequently went to the police and registered a complaint against her husband.
The accused has been booked under Section 375 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and other relevant sections of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Police are currently working to arrest the suspect.
In another shocking incident, a man was arrested after he raped and killed his 16-year-old daughter. The man’s wife was also arrested for her involvement in the murder.
It was reported that the victim was raped by her father.
She allegedly then fell pregnant. Upon finding out, the accused killed her with the help of his wife.
Amandeep Kapoor, Superintendent of Police (SP), stated that the teenager was killed on May 10, 2020. He said that the Indian father found out that his daughter was pregnant.
The father and his wife then strangled the girl to death. The next day, they performed her funeral in a bid to get rid of the body.
However, the sister and brother-in-law knew what had happened and informed the RSCPCR.
SP Kapoor explained: “The accused allegedly came to know that the girl has got pregnant after which he, along with his wife, strangulated her to death on May 10 and the next day performed her funeral so that nobody doubted them.
“But the sister and the brother-in-law of the deceased informed the RSCPCR through a letter.”
SP Kapoor added: “We are yet to find out whether she was pregnant or not?
“We have collected samples from the crematorium and have sent it to forensics for examination.
“The couple has been arrested and has been sent to judicial custody.”
While the couple remains in custody, the investigation continues.
