"Unbelievable... she was dancing a few hours ago"
According to police, Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey tragically took her own life.
Her death just a few hours after posting a cheerful video of herself dancing on Instagram.
The 25-year-old was reportedly in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, for the shoot of an upcoming project. After filming, she went to the Sarnath Hotel.
It was reported that at around 9 am on March 26, 2023, Akanksha was found dead in her hotel room.
A source close to the actress said:
“It was her first day on the sets of the new film Nayak. The makers were shooting in Varanasi.
“Today around 9 am when her makeup boy went to call her at her hotel, she was found dead in the room. She was shooting alongside Aklesh Verma.”
A police investigation has been launched and officers said they believe she took her own life.
Her tragic death came on the release day of her music video ‘Ye Aara Kabhi Hara Nahi’, where she is paired alongside Pawan Singh.

Just hours before the discovery of her body, Akanksha had shared a video of herself on Instagram casually belly-dancing to the Bhojpuri song ‘Hilore Mare’.
She was seen in a black outfit, showing off her belly-dancing skills, smiling at the same time.
However, a contrasting video is circulating on social media.
It is an Instagram live broadcast of a tearful Akanksha looking into the camera but not saying anything.
Fans have expressed their shock at her sudden death.
One wrote: “Unbelievable… she was dancing a few hours ago and now!”
Another commented: “Bhojpuri queen. We will always miss you.”
A third wrote: “May your soul rest in peace.”
One user said:
“One of my favourite actresses passed away. RIP ma’am. We shall miss you always.”
Akanksha Dubey made her industry debut with the 2019 film Meri Jung Mera Faisla.
She was also seen in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (Bhojpuri), Veeron Ke Veer and Fighter King, among others.
Akanksha managed to carve a niche in the industry with her acting skills at a young age.
She recently hit the headlines when she confirmed her relationship with Samar Singh, whom she had worked with on several music videos.
On Valentine’s Day 2023, Akanksha shared a few pictures with her new boyfriend.
Meanwhile, Samar has broken his silence on Akanksha’s sudden death.
He shared an emotional post, writing: “Speechless. RIP Akanksha Dubey.”
