IIFA 2008 Winners

The 2008 International Indian Film Academy awards took place in Bangkok. We bring you the IIFA 2008 winners with Chak De India doing extremely well.

The highlight of the awards evening went to no other than King Khan

The 2008 International Indian Film Academy event in Bangkok was full of glamour and glitz as assumed. After a hugely positive premiere of Sarkar Raj on Friday, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, which was followed by the stunning Fashion show extravaganza on Saturday, the climax of this zestful and star cast weekend was on Sunday, the awards ceremony.

The highlight of the awards evening went to no other than King Khan, despite the event being criticised for promoting the Bachchans. Chak De India came top in the list with Sharukh Khan winning best actor, and also the film claiming the technical awards for the night. Sharukh was not present at the event but his winning streak showed that the awards still had their credibility intact.

Kareena Kapoor bagged the award for best actress for her role in Jab We Met and A.R. Rehman for best music director with his score for Guru.
