“This was planned. Her landlord’s CDR must be checked"
The death of model and actress Humaira Asghar Ali continues to stir speculation, with fresh concerns raised by her brother Naveed Asghar.
Speaking to Lahore-based YouTuber Ali Hamza, Naveed called on authorities to investigate her landlord, travel history, and colleagues from her recent projects.
He said he was almost certain his sister was murdered.
According to Naveed, investigating officers found the back door open when they arrived, and the apartment terrace had been kept ajar.
This, he claimed, was likely done so the smell would not reach neighbouring flats.
Naveed alleged: “This was planned. Her landlord’s CDR must be checked, and it should be investigated if he had ties in Lahore too.”
He also asked police to verify whether Humaira travelled alone or with someone in her final months.
Naveed added: “We want to know who she was meeting, where she was going, and why.”
He expressed suspicion over the silence of her former co-workers.
He questioned: “Why aren’t her colleagues talking? Are they afraid of someone? If they’re clean, they should cooperate.”
Public scrutiny has shifted toward her family, particularly after a TV interview with her parents aired recently.
The interview drew widespread criticism online, with many viewers disturbed by the parents’ expressionless demeanour and conflicting statements.
A user said: “They couldn’t even pretend to care.”
Another commented: “The mother was holding a tissue, acting like she had a headache.”
Some viewers accused them of disowning Humaira, claiming the family initially refused to accept her body.

A citizen has already petitioned a local court to register a case against the parents. The court recently asked police to investigate further.
Others are urging authorities to focus on the timeline leading up to Humaira Asghar Ali’s death, especially her last attempts to contact her brother.
According to reports, she reached out shortly before she died, but received no response.
Despite Naveed Asghar’s claims, police and forensic reports have ruled out any foul play.
According to police officials, a chemical analysis report of the actress’s body, conducted by the University of Karachi’s forensic lab, found no traces of any sedative, psychotropic, narcotic, or toxic substances in the samples.
This finding has led investigators to conclude that her death likely occurred due to natural causes.
