Kiara Advani has reportedly landed her biggest pay cheque for Don 3.
In February 2024, it was announced that Kiara was cast as the leading lady opposite Ranveer Singh.
It has now been revealed that Kiara landed the role ahead of Kriti Sanon.
A source told Bollywood Hungama:
“Farhan Akhtar had short-listed two girls for Don 3, and it was Ranveer Singh who was very keen to have Kiara Advani on board.
“The two share a very comfortable bond off-screen and Ranveer felt that the off-screen bond would transform beautifully on the screen.
“Farhan then went to Kiara Advani and pitched her character.”
Joining an iconic franchise has also reportedly meant Kiara has secured her biggest payday.
The source continued: “Kiara Advani has charged Rs. 13 crores (£1.2 million) to come on board Don 3.
“It’s the biggest that she charged to date and the actress is all charged up to prep for the big-scale action scenes of Don 3.
“The amount that Kiara has fetched for Don 3 is almost 50 per cent higher than what she is getting for another action film, War 2 with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR.”
Speaking about the role, Kiara Advani said:
“I think it’s a conscious decision, I wanted to do something different.
“I wanted to change it up for myself, and this was one genre that I was longing to get myself into.
“And that’s what’s exciting, right?
“As an actor, you are constantly stepping into different characters and making the world believe that that’s who you are.
“There will be a tough prep for the film, but I’ve got time to do that.
“I’m very excited. I’ve never done an action movie so now’s my time to get some action in!”
While the exact release date of Don 3 is yet to be announced, anticipation is already running high among fans.
They are eager to witness Kiara Advani’s dynamic performance alongside Ranveer Singh for the first time.
The film is slated to go on floors in August 2024, with a theatrical release expected in 2025.
