Gauri Khan Opens her First Restaurant

It was a proud moment for Gauri Khan as she unveiled her first restaurant. The establishment is located in Mumbai and is named Torii.

Several celebrities graced the occasion including Karan Johar, Bhavna Pandey, Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari and Seema Sajdeh.

Also an interior and costume designer, Gauri has designed the restaurant herself.

She also masterminded the houses of Karan Johar and Sidharth Malhotra.

At the grand opening of Torii, Gauri’s close friend and ex-wife of superstar Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne Khan was also present.

Bhavna’s husband, the veteran actor Chunky Panday also attended the event.

Gauri sparkled in a sequinned blue blouse as she posed outside the restaurant, showing off her achievement.

In an interview, Gauri Khan spoke about the learnings that came with opening a new restaurant, asserting that this was just the beginning.

She explained: “We’re just getting started; the learnings are yet to come.

“I’m excited to see what this journey holds for everyone involved and I’m really happy to be embarking on this journey with my friends and co-partners Tanaaz Bhatia and Abhayraj Kohli.”

When questioned about her favourite dishes on the menu, Gauri said:

“All the sushi especially the Dirty Torii, the black cod, the green Thai curry, the chicken slider and the tres leches and churros for dessert.”

Seema Sajdeh, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavna Pandey and Neelam Kothari starred together in the hit Netflix series Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.

The four women became the epitome of elegance as they posed together.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar looked dapper in black attire.

The filmmaker flamboyantly posed outside the building, treating the cameras to his famous style.

The director is a close friend of Shah Rukh and Gauri, having worked with the former in several films.

Sussanne Khan looked gorgeous in a flattering red dress.

Also a designer, she was accompanied by her boyfriend Arslan Goni.

The two began dating shortly after her much-publicised divorce with Hrithik Roshan.

Fans rushed to congratulate Gauri Khan on the opening of Torii.

Another fan gushed: “So proud of you Queen.”

Choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan added: “Looks stunning.”

With the promise of elegant cuisine and a fine dining experience, the opening of Torii is a fantastic achievement for Gauri Khan and a milestone in her life and career.
