"Nikolaj’s visit was truly a memorable highlight for us."
Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was spotted at the famous Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru, sending social media into overdrive.
The Danish star, best known as Jaime Lannister in the HBO series, was seen enjoying a traditional South Indian breakfast.
Casually dressed in a black shirt and hat, he tucked into idlis and dosas alongside two other tourists.
Content creator Miss Shakira happened to be filming herself at the cafe when she unexpectedly caught the actor in her video.
She posted the clip on Instagram, saying: “So I was at @therameshwaramcafe, Bengaluru when I was randomly filming myself and just found @nikolajwilliamcw aka Jaime Lannister from @gameofthrones standing just behind me, it was a star-struck moment.”
The video quickly went viral.
Referencing his severed hand in Game of Thrones, one fan commented:
“Hmmm, so his right hand is fine. Bro had us fooled.”
Another joked: “We got Kingslayer eating Ghee pudi dose before GTA 6.”
A third user added: “Okay my jaw dropped. That’s Nikolaj Coster-Waldau or something right? Jamie Lannister actor.”
The Rameshwaram Cafe confirmed the surprise visit with its own Instagram post:
“A star-studded moment at The Rameshwaram Cafe, Rajajinagar!
“Today, we had the absolute honour of hosting the incredibly talented Nikolaj William Coster-Waldau and his team.
“Known worldwide for his stellar performances and charismatic presence, Nikolaj’s visit was truly a memorable highlight for us.
“Thank you for choosing to experience our authentic South Indian flavours. We are beyond thrilled to have shared this special day with you.”
