"his phone was constantly off, and he wasn’t talking to anyone."

On his Ramadan Transmission show, Ramzan Mein Bol, Faysal Quraishi recently talked about his friend and the late host Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

He opened up about the heartbreaking details of his final conversation with him.

Faysal claimed that although many people were disapproving of the apparent lack of effort by the late host’s friends before his untimely death, people are unaware of how hard Aamir’s close friends had worked to get in touch with him.

Faysal Quraishi also asked social media users to refrain from slandering others online because doing so might trigger significant unhappiness.

Talking about his conversation with Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain, Faysal said:

“I was making a complaint to people who are talking a lot about Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain and criticising the media industry.

“It’s good that people are showing their love but one should not speak without knowledge.

“We were trying hard to contact him, especially during his last days, we were making phone calls, his phone was constantly off, and he wasn’t talking to anyone.

“We tried to call him again and again but he was just not attending calls.

“I’m talking about the time when one of the videos got leaked and he went into a deep depression.

“But one day he randomly called us, and we all were here in the studio.

“Mufti Hanif Qureshi was also with us, we also took Mufti Hanif Qureshi on the call with him.

“Mufti Sahab tried hard to convince him and we assured him that we will sort things out and things will be normal but he didn’t agree and said ‘I’m going now’.

“Even we tried to reach him but he just said ‘I am going now’, and he passed away.

“Sometimes, the person who is about to leave shows signs that he’s leaving.”

Going on to talk about social media users Faysal Quraishi said:

“People are doing the same, they keep on badmouthing people, and they are writing stupid things.”

Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain suddenly passed away on June 9, 2022.

Dania Shah, his ex-wife, was charged with filming objectionable video footage of her now-deceased husband and posting them on social media.

This is reported to have placed the host under a great deal of mental stress that ultimately led to his death.

On December 16, 2022, Dania Shah was taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cybercrime Wing at her residence in the Punjabi district of Lodhran following a complaint from Dr Aamir Liaquat’s daughter.
