"This unsettling occurrence repeated itself on multiple occasions."

A real-life story has surfaced that has been compared to the drama Ishq Zahe Naseeb.

Ishq Zahe Naseeb courageously tackled dissociative identity disorder, a previously unexplored aspect of mental health in Pakistani TV.

The drama’s masterful script and outstanding performances from the entire cast, particularly Zahid Ahmed, made it a work of art.

Zahid’s portrayal of Sameer and Sameerah, two distinct personalities within one individual, was a testament to his exceptional acting skills.

The character’s split personalities were a result of unresolved childhood traumas, expertly woven into the narrative.

Several scenes in the drama showcased Zahid’s character, Sameer, donning feminine attire.

He also wore makeup and feminine clothing on his wedding night, leaving his wife utterly distraught. The role of the wife was played by Sonya Hussyn.

This poignant moment resonated deeply with audiences, offering a glimpse into the intricacies of mental health struggles.

In a recent episode of Good Morning Pakistan, a marriage bureau representative shared a striking anecdote, drawing parallels with the drama’s narrative.

Recalling the case, the representative said:

“A client of mine had experienced a similar situation.

“Her husband was from a reputable family and she herself was also from a well-off family. The man had come from America after completing his studies.

“It was a grand event.

“On their wedding night, he changed into a female wedding dress and came and sat down next to his bride. It left the bride bewildered.

“This unsettling occurrence repeated itself on multiple occasions.

“The girl’s mother did not believe her at first so she asked her to come visit her in the late hours.

“When her mother came, she saw her son-in-law dressed as a woman.

“The shocking discovery of their son-in-law’s attire led to their swift intervention, ultimately resulting in their daughter’s return home.”

Delving into the parents’ reaction, she continued:

“He was the only brother of seven sisters so the level of confusion in him was also higher.

“When his parents saw this, they sent him abroad. In America, his behavior only intensified.”

Viewers were equally shocked after hearing about the case.

A user wrote: “This is shocking. May Allah protect all daughters from such horrible marriages.”

Another added: “It was mainly the parent’s fault. They should have sent him to therapy instead of sending him abroad.”

One said: “I feel sorry for the guy also. He has a sickness that needs to be treated.”

Another commented: “I never knew such an incident could take place in real life too. Even in Ishq Zahe Naseeb, it was so scary.”
