The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized drugs at actress Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash’s residence in Mumbai, India.

The NCB has been probing into the Bollywood drugs nexus ever since the tragic demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sushant’s untimely demise unearthed Bollywood’s drug secrets. It came to light that many stars have been consuming or procuring drugs in B-Town.

These include names like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor to name a few.

Alongside the names of big celebrities, other names have also been highlighting in the ongoing investigation.

This includes the name of Deepika Padukone’s manager, Karishma Prakash.

Earlier, Prakash was summoned by the NCB for her link to the Bollywood drug case.

In September 2020, Republic Media Network had revealed the drug chats between the actress and her manager.

In the chats, Deepika was seen asking Prakash for “maal” and “hash.” In response to her enquiry, Prakash said she had it at her residence.

The chats which were believed to be from 2017 were taken from a WhatsApp group called “DP+KA+KWAN.” It was later reported Deepika Padukone was the group’s admin.

As a result of this, Deepika Padukone was interrogated by the agency for five hours for her role in procuring drugs.

The actress’ mobile phone was also seized by the NCB and sent to Directorate of Forensic Sciences to examine deleted chats and videos.

This led to the interrogation of her manager, Karishma Prakash for her role in supplying drugs.

Now, according to ANI, Karishma Prakash has once again been summoned by the NCB. Taking to Twitter, ANI wrote:

“Karishma Prakash (Deepika Padukone’s manager) has been summoned for investigation tomorrow.”

On Tuesday, 27 October 2020, the NCB detained approximately 1.8 grams of Hashish from Prakash’s home.

However, according to reports, Karishma Prakash is currently untraceable.

NCB sources say she has been summoned for interrogation on Wednesday, 28 October 2020 and a notice has been posted on her door.

Bollywood’s link to drugs came to the forefront when the NCB found evidence against actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother, Showik Chakraborty.

The pair were arrested for procuring drugs. However, the actress was granted bail earlier this month.

Meanwhile, her brother remains in jail along with Sushant’s staff member and executive producer and director, Kshitij Prasad.

We wait to find out what the NCB’s second interrogation with Karishma Prakash reveals next.
