Filmmaker Atlee Kumar and his wife Krishna Priya are expecting their first child.
The couple took to social media and made the special announcement.
They revealed that they are expecting their first child and also posted a beautiful picture in which Krishna Priya is seen flaunting her baby bump.
Krishna Priya took to her Instagram handle and wrote:
“Happy to announce that we are pregnant need all your blessing and love Wit love Atlee & Priya.”
They also released a statement in which they collectively said:
“We are grateful for all the love and support you have showered upon us over the years, we would like you to continue showing your love to our little one as well.”
The couple added: “Eagerly waiting to embark on this exciting adventure of bringing our little bundle of happiness into this world with all your blessings.”
Nazriya Fahadh, Arya, Sanya Malhotra and other celebrities congratulated the happy couple and dropped red heart emojis in the comments section of the post.
The couple tied the knot in front of friends and family in November 2014.
While Krishna Priya has acted in several short films and shot to fame with the Vijay TV serial Kana Kanum Kalangal, Atlee Kumar made his directorial debut with Raja Rani.
He later went on to direct Vijay in Theri, Mersal, and Bigil.

On the work front, Atlee Kumar is making his Bollywood debut with his upcoming film Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara.
According to the reports, Nayanthara will essay the role of an investigating officer and Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a dual role.
Jawan will also feature Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and Yogi Babu in key roles, along with the rest.
The venture will also mark Nayanthara’s debut in Bollywood.
The director had earlier shared the teaser of the film and said: “Feeling emotional, excited & blessed.
“Grew up admiring you but never imagined that I would be directing you, sir. @iamsrk & I proudly present to you #Jawan”
The film is slated to release in theatres on June 2, 2023.
Further, reports also suggest that Atlee Kumar is in talks with Thalapathy Vijay for the actor’s 68th movie.
However, no confirmation has been received yet.
The reports also claim that the prestigious banner Mythri Movie Makers is likely to back this yet-to-be-titled movie.
