Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has announced that he is aiming for the position of PCB chairman.

The self-proclaimed singer attended a promotional event for his latest film.

At the event, he took the opportunity to share his thoughts on the disappointing performance of Pakistan’s national cricket team.

Chahat emphasised the need for experienced leadership within the Pakistan Cricket Board.

He expressed his willingness to assume the role of chairman.

Chahat asserted: “If appointed chairman, I would directly manage player performance reviews and oversee coaching sessions four days each week.”

He highlighted his vision of appointing a single coach for the team and taking an active role in ensuring the quality of coaching.

Clarifying that his comments are not meant to criticise the current chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, Chahat said:

“I’m not criticising Naqvi. I simply want him to consider my proposal.

“Given his significant responsibilities as the interior minister, I believe he should pass the PCB chairmanship to me.”

He stressed the importance of mental and emotional strength for the team, suggesting that his involvement could enhance these aspects.

Netizens were surprised by his announcement.

A user said: “This man is a joke. He just says the dumbest things. No one can ever take him seriously.”

One wrote: “He is trying to fit everywhere while being such a misfit.”

Another commented: “Someone tell this uncle to sit back down and humble himself.”

This comes amid a public spat between Chahat Fateh Ali Khan and model Wajdan Rao, who featured in the music video for ‘Bado Badi‘.

Following the song’s release, the two exchanged heated remarks.

Wajdan had given several interviews accusing Chahat of various misdeeds.

Chahat responded with a Facebook video, mocking Wajdan and addressing her claims.

She had said: “I don’t want to work with Chahat Fateh Ali Khan.”

In his response, Chahat stated: “I gave her opportunities in six songs; she was unknown before these projects.

“Over the past 2.5 years, I’ve featured her in six songs, and now she claims she won’t work with me.”

“When I found out about her interviews against me, I called her.

“She admitted she was doing it for views. I told her she didn’t need such cheap tactics after gaining fame.

“We had no formal contract; I paid her five thousand, which is standard for my models. I also arranged a dinner and provided her with a rickshaw ride home.”

Addressing her accusation of feeling threatened, Chahat insisted that he is harmless.

Despite his comments, Wajdan said:

“I think I will have to expose Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s real misdeeds.”
