Global superstars BTS have unveiled major details about their highly anticipated comeback, confirming a 14-song album titled Arirang and a landmark concert in Seoul.
The announcement marks their first full-group release in over three years following mandatory military service.

Arirang will be released on March 20, 2026, at 1 p.m. KST in multiple physical versions, including vinyl editions themed around each member.
The album is produced with extensive member involvement, reinforcing BTS’s creative autonomy.
RM is credited across all 14 tracks, while SUGA and j-hope also contributed significantly to songwriting and production.
International producers including Pdogg, Diplo, Mike Will Made-It and Ryan Tedder are also attached to the project.
The title draws inspiration from Korea’s iconic folk song, underscoring the group’s deep cultural roots.
Arirang is described as BTS’s sixth Korean-language studio album and their fifth full studio release overall.
Developed from July 2025 as a reunion project, it celebrates their heritage while embracing global pop influences.
The 14-track record runs approximately 41 minutes, with SWIM confirmed as the lead single.
An interlude titled No. 29 adds a reflective moment within the album’s structure.
Notably, there are no external collaborations, making it a pure OT7 effort that highlights the synergy of all seven members.
Pre-orders opened on January 16, 2026, with teaser content steadily building anticipation among fans worldwide.
Alongside the album, BTS announced a special free comeback concert titled BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG.
The show will take place on March 21, 2026, at 8 p.m. KST at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul.
Located near Gyeongbokgung Palace, the venue choice reflects the album’s heritage-focused concept.
The open-air event is expected to host up to 18,000 fans through advance registration.
It will feature 50 dancers and traditional musicians, blending contemporary performance with Korean cultural elements.
The concert will also be livestreamed globally on Netflix, expanding access to millions of viewers.
Seoul city officials conditionally approved the event in January 2026, pending safety reviews.
The performance will serve as the official launch of BTS’s 79-show Arirang World Tour, beginning in April 2026.
As anticipation builds, Arirang represents more than a comeback album.
It symbolises reunion, resilience and a renewed connection between BTS and their global fanbase.
