A luxury Asian mall measuring a whopping 50,000 square feet has opened in the UK, with developers calling it “the biggest in Britain”.
The Signature Mall officially opened on May 16, 2026, in Bradford, drawing crowds of shoppers who queued down the streets of Listerhills to explore its new retail offering.
The development includes 36 retail units, with owner Sukhjit Singh Dua highlighting a blend of businesses operating within the site.
He said: “We’ve had brands come from abroad, some come from Birmingham, from London. Others are local. It is a mix of brands.
“You can see that people have spent good money on these shop units, and we’ve invested a lot in the building.”
The shopping centre is also said to have generated around 300 jobs.
Retailers inside the mall span beauty products, jewellery, menswear, womenswear and footwear, positioning it as a broad South Asian-focused shopping destination with a luxury edge.
Customers will find high-end items priced in the thousands, including wedding dresses reaching up to £2,500.
Food is a central feature of the development, with the Signature Food Gallery set to host vendors serving Mexican and Turkish cuisine alongside paratha, chaat, burgers, European street food, tea and desserts.
The space forms part of a wider 10,000 square foot dining area designed to accommodate more than 200 customers, with nine food outlets and an “exclusive Michelin star restaurant”.
The development has been designed to “revolutionise the retail landscape” of Britain, with interiors “meticulously designed” to reflect an Asian-inspired aesthetic.
Stone flooring, chandeliers and granite walls have been imported from across Asia and Africa, including the Middle East, India and Morocco, reinforcing its international design influence.
According to a social media post from the 120-space car park, “as soon as you drive in, you feel like you are coming into the Middle East”.
A company statement added: “The development has been designed to deliver a modern shopping and leisure experience while celebrating the rich cultural diversity and entrepreneurial spirit that defines Bradford and the wider Yorkshire region.
“Signature Mall is more than just a shopping destination; it is a celebration of culture, community, and entrepreneurship.
“We are proud to bring this exciting new development to Bradford and look forward to welcoming visitors from across the region and beyond.”
