“Salman says everyone is bored of shuttling between home and work."
The much-awaited reality show Bigg Boss 14 is just around the corner because the premiere date has finally been announced.
Salman Khan returns to host the popular TV show which sees over a dozen celebrities locked in a house for a few months as viewers watch to see what they get up to.
A new promo for the show debuted late on September 13, 2020, where Salman revealed the launch date for the show.
Bigg Boss 14 will start on October 3, 2020.
In the video, Salman is seen in chains and breaks them one by one. His face is also covered with a mask. He says that boredom will be smashed, tensions will be gone and stress will vanish.
The Bollywood actor also promised fans that all the problems they have faced this year will be taken care of.
It has been reported that Bigg Boss 14 will allow contestants to enjoy activities such as shopping, eating out and watching films at the cinema, activities that they have not been able to do due to the pandemic.
As part of the luxury tasks, contestants have the chance to win these experiences.
The show has been labelled “a befitting reply to 2020”.
In a statement, broadcaster Colors TV said: “Salman says everyone is bored of shuttling between home and work.
“But not to phikar not as life is about to change with Bigg Boss’s power-packed entertainment coming for their rescue.”
The celebrity participants have not yet been announced but it is heavily rumoured that Jasmin Bhasin, Aly Goni, Eijaz Khan, Sara Gurpal, Neha Sharma, Pavitra Punia, Naina Singh, Nikki Tamboli and Nishant Malkhani are some of the names set to enter the house.
On whether he is set to participate on the show, Nishant said:
“I haven’t watched Bigg Boss ever. I didn’t even get what the point of doing Bigg Boss was?
“But, ever since my name has come up in the tentative list of contestants, I do get a lot of queries.”
“However, I keep telling everyone that nothing is confirmed.
“I am happy for the showrunners, that Bigg Boss has such a massive following and there’s so much hype that the whole country is waiting to know the names of people entering the house this year.”
The show was set to air during September 2020 but the ongoing pandemic caused it to be delayed.
Contestants will be quarantined in different hotels and after their Covid-19 tests return negative, they will be allowed to enter the Bigg Boss 14 house.
Salman returns to host the show in what is his 11th year.
