Dubbed as possibly the biggest and most extravagant Indian weddings of 2018, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal tied the knot at the Ambani residence Antilla in Mumbai on December 12, 2018.
After the pre-wedding Sangeet party in Udaipur which attracted world attention, which included entertainment from Beyonce and a plethora of A-list Bollywood stars, now it was time for the main Shaadi event.
The wedding ceremony took place about 3.00 pm in the presence of close family and friends and was indeed one of the most lavish and no-expense-spared Indian marriages.
The couple looked radiant and full of happiness after they took their vows.
Photos of them at the ceremony flooded the Internet with well-wishers acknowledging the newly married couple.
Of course, a wedding of this stature meant the attendance by many high-profile Indian celebrities and dignitaries. Especially from the world of Bollywood.
Like any Desi wedding, it gives a chance for the stars to wear some incredible and eye-catching fashion, and for the world to witness what was worn by which of the stars.

Bachchan Family
The Bachchan family dressed up in some lovely Indian attire.
Jaya Bachchan wore a very fetching beige saree accessorised with a large heavy necklace with prominent jewels. Whilst Amitabh Bachchan wore a finely white and brown striped sherwani, styled with an interesting necklace too.
Daughter Shweta wore a beautiful cerise and pink floral saree accompanied with a lovely jewelled necklace and prominent maang tikka on her forehead.
Shweta’s daughter Navya Naveli Nanda wore a stylish light brown and gold saree. Accessorised with a kundan and gold necklace, earrings and a geometric maang tikka.
In contrast, the junior Bachchans opted for more radiant and comparative colours in their attire at the Ambani wedding.
Abhishek wore a dapper black bandhgala (closed-neck) suite complete with black loafer shoes.
Little Aradhya was not going to be left out in the dressing up for this grand wedding! She wore a lovely orange and rad two-piece lehenga with a matching dupatta, accompanied by little earrings and slimline necklace.
Aishwariya Rai wore a beautiful red and gold Sabyasachi saree.
Around her neck, she wore a stunning gold, pearl and uncut diamonds necklace giving a very regal look to her appearance. Her hair had white floral decor with it tied neatly in a bun.
Boney Kapoor with Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor
Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor attended with his lovely daughter Khushi and Janhvi.
Boney wore a very suave black sherwani with intricate embroidery.
Janhvi chose to wear a beautiful Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla gold and maroon lehenga with large patterns. Accessorised with large Tyaani earrings and an open hairstyle.
Khushi opted for a gold Manish Malhotra lehenga accompanied by simple stud earrings and open hair too.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh who recently got married in Italy stole the show as the radiant couple in attendance.
Deepika wore an elegant and extravagant custom-made embroidered cream beige saree with a full-sleeve red and gold blouse up to her neck designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.
The outfit was accessorised with dynamic long earrings, nice kangans and newly married gajra bangles.
Ranveer wore a very stylish white-cream florally patterned kurta patterned and plain pyjama outfit.
She was styled by Shaleena Nathani who ensured Deepika looked the marvel she did at the wedding.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jones
Newlyweds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas were snapped on the red carpet as they arrived at the wedding.
Priyanka wore a gorgeous custom-made lehenga designed by Jade Couture duo Monica and Krishna.
The peach two-piece peach outfit decorated with fine beads and jewels highlighted the fashion of embellished dresses. He accessories included long earrings and a small silver tikka on her forehead.
Nick wore a simple but smart black tuxedo with a white shirt and bow.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
When it comes to Kareena Kapoor Khan, there is never a dull moment in terms of her dress sense for special occasions., and this wedding was no different.
She came with hubby Saif Ali Khan who wore a matching off-white sherwani and pyjama.
Kareena wore an off-white lehenga outfit with tremendous embroidery on the bottom designed by Anita Dongre. Her large see-through dupatta covered her showing off the cropped short blouse.
Her makeup was done by Divya Chablani and her styling was done by Mohit Roy and Naina Sawhney.
Accessorised with long stylish earrings and a lovely maang tikka on her forehead, Kareena looked amazing.
Alia Bhatt
Udta Punjab actress Alia Bhatt oozed style at the Ambani wedding.
Alia looked very opulent in a custom-made Manish Malhotra creation. The lush blue and white lehenga with an elaborate finishing of silver on the border made her look stunning.
Her see-through sheer white dupatta with matching blue embroidery nicely accompanied the outfit. She accessorised he look with ornate Amrapally shoulder dusters and her hair tied in a bun.
Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor is known for his style and going to a major wedding like the Ambani’s meant he sure had to bring that style to the surface.
Shahid wore a very modern and intrinsically designed brown and black sherwani accompanied by black pyjama bottoms and smart black shoes.
He was joined by his wife Mira Rajput, who wore a delightful purple and white two-piece velvet lehenga outfit.
Disha Patani
Disha Patani arrived at the wedding with Tiger Shroff and his mother. Tiger wore a create sherwani cream outfit which matched Disha’s.
Disha wore a gorgeous cream lehenga with very catchy intricate embroidery and embellishments, designed by Falguni Shane Peacock India.
It captivated her body shape and her fitness regime definitely showed the results from her hard work in this outfit.
Her dewy makeup by Sonik Sarwate together with open hair styled by celebrity hairstylist, Zoey Quinny, and simple diamond jewellery added nicely to the overall look.
Sonam Kapoor Ahuja
Sonam Kapoor Ahuja arrived with her father Anil Kapoor who wore a long black sherwani as his outfit.
Sonam contrasted it with the radiant pink flowy lehenga custom-designed by Anamika Khanna.
The garment had words added to it in a fun-loving style. Including her first name on the front and ‘EVERYTHING’ on the lower front and ‘IS AK -OK’ on the back.
She accessorised her outfit with Amrapali green jewellery.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra
Shilpa Shetty attended the wedding wearing a very eye-catching saree.
The beige-cream saree ensemble created by Tarun Tahiliani hugged Shilpa’s impressive figure very nicely.
With a short cupped blouse and shimmering embroidery on the main aspect of the concept saree, Shilpa looked the million dollars.
Simple jewellery and an open hairstyle with the saree set-off the garment even more.
Kiara Advani
Isha Ambani’s best friend, actress Kiara Advani arrived at the wedding in a beautifully embroidered lehenga.
The bottom part of the light green and light pink outfit had an immense amount of floral patterns with sequences.
Kiara’s top part in lilac had a lovely low-cut finish with jewelled straps on either side and a dupatta which cleverly joined through the blouse.
Other stars in attendance included Raveena Tandon, Karan Johar, Aamir Khan and his wife, Shahrukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Jackie Shroff, Hilary Clinton and many more.
The Ambani wedding and its extravagance is one to remember and has definitely craved the attention of fans and fashion lovers alike, showing us some of the great efforts made by the Bollywood stars to be the best dressed.
