"P.P.S. Thank you, Isha"
Priyanka Chopra recently hosted a screening and reception of the Gujarati film Chhello Show (Last Film Show) at Isha Ambani’s Los Angeles house.
Pan Nalin’s Chhello Show (The Last Show) made it to the Oscars 2023 shortlist in the Best International Feature Film category.
Director Pan Nalin and child artist Bhavin Rabari also attended the event.
The producer of the film David Dubinsky shared many pictures and a video on his Instagram handle which has been doing the rounds.
In a video, Priyanka talks about the times of single-screen theatres and how her father used to bunk school to watch films.
She also asked Bhavin about the one movie he watched before doing the film.
To this, he replied: “Dangal.”
Priyanka Chopra can be seen in an all-black ensemble and paired her look with black boots.
On the other hand, Chhello Show actor Bhavin can be seen in a traditional ensemble.
Sharing the post, David Dubinsky captioned it: “With Priyanka Chopra, actress, model, and producer (married to Nick Jonas) at the movie screening and reception of Last Film Show.
“It is India’s submission to the Academy Awards and was just shortlisted in the Best International feature film category. Available on Netflix.”
Priyanka Chopra too took to her Instagram handle and shared pictures from the event.
The post consists of various pictures from the dinner reception featuring herself, director Pan Nalin and child artist Bhavin Rabari.
In the post, she wrote: “The least I can do is always support the industry that taught me all I know about my job.
“So proud of the amazing movies that come out of Indian cinema.
“‘Chhello Show‘ is one of the special ones. Good luck team! Go get ‘em.”
She added: “P.S. Chhello Show (Last Film Show) – a regional language movie (Gujarati) which has been selected as India’s Official Entry to the Best International Feature Film category at the 95th Academy Awards.
“Written and directed by Pan Nalin, this incredible film revolves around 9-year-old Bhavin Rabari’s fascination with Cinema.”
The Bajirao Mastani actor also wrote a thank you note for Isha Ambani.
She said: “P.P.S. Thank you, Isha [Ambani], for lending the team your LA home for the screening.”
Chhello Show (The Last Show) is a story about a nine-year-old boy and his love for movies.
He is mesmerised by movies and filmmaking that he decides to become a filmmaker, unaware of the heartbreaking times that await him.
